Yup. Gotta work, tried to weasel the day off, best I could do is out early for an afternoon sit. I just hope the deer don't smell my sunscreen. Gonna be a warm one tomorrow. Doubt I'll see squat, bug it'll be good to spend some quiet time in my fall office.

Yeah, so hot, you'd have to process them immediately, be up all night after waiting, tracking, dragging, cutting. My buddy passed on a doe too. 5 yards. If it was a wall hanger, might have gone differently.

I sure want some venison, but I can't blame either of you.

Had backstrap , purple cauliflower, butternut squash for dinner tonight. Poor dogs boiled today looking for woodcock. I wanna hunt, think i'm going back to the tributaries. Salmon bite has been fantastic. Should have smoked salmon this week. My son's first came out of the brine today. Go sabers!
