No serious reefer should have a tank without this!

Like MikeyAl, I enjoy the daily & weekly chores most of the time. It gives me time to observe things , spot a problem, think of a better way to do things. Now the heavy duty stuff like yearly maintenance is another thing .....

But I have an inherent liking for gadgets and tools that solve real problems in practical & innovative ways. This machine seems as if might wear out quickly and since its non essential could easily end up in the equipment box never to see the light of day again. Having it take up space on the glass is a good point as well. But I can see how in special situations like a hard to reach display aquarium in a resteraunt for example, this thing might be great. I could also see it being useful if it was efficient in keeping really huge aquariums clean. Especially when you have a case of paying for cleaning labor wages. Hard to justify for the average medium sized aquarium.

I run enough HC GFO now that I only get a light dusting on the glass every week or so. No big deal. But I do get coralline growth & can't see a robot doing a good job on that.

10mm glass maximum and you cant have snails in your tank per their instructions. I have 3 in the store for sale if you want one :)

I agree some might not see usefulness of controllers for their own tanks. The topic of diminishings its importance for a fish tank however is funny to me. I remember with those comments when my grandpa asked me why did i send emails when mail had worked just fine for years :)

if it worked on tanks bigger than 90g, made turns to the other panes of glass, didnt have to remove all snails and didnt have to program the min and max depths it would be awesome but it isnt lol

That thing has been out for years and I would never get one.
If I go on vacation I have someone stop in and check on the tank, or I'd just clean the glass when I got home.

Meh. I prefer to control nutrients and take 5 minute once or twice a week to clean it with my Tunze magnet.

<------------ Sys Admin @ a software dev company BTW, so spare me the "scared of technology" angle.

I guess this would be good for someone with a 10' or larger tank... Maybe a restaurant where maintenance is difficult during the work day and the cleaningness of the tank is always needed...

Im sure cleaning the glass of a 10' can be time consuming..l
