Noise of outer(dry) part

Hi all~

I have a 1.5 year old vortech (not wireless) and my vortech

is alsno noise especially outer part.

In my country, There are no one have this except me, so I can

not decide mine is noisy or not..

It is not vibration noise from wet and dry part. I think the noise

from outer part itself...

My vortech speed is not middle (between min and max)

Especailly at night, the noise is more annoying me.

its noise is more than RD 65w return pump and nw200 octopus skimmer...

it sounds like ssssss (I can not express it with writing.)

Is it normal or not?

In middle speed, there is noise of vortech?

Luckily the shop i bought it from gave me a replacement as part of their usual excellent support.

Unfortunately, there is no shop to sell the vortech in my country.

so It is not easy to compare mine to others in this..

the noise from youtube is definately louder than real world

but I wanna know it is normal or not.

the speed of vortech is middle if the speed is from 1 to 10,

it would be 4 or 5...

That video really doesn't depict anything that I can register beyond standard reef tank white noise. Noise is something that is very subjective and it is hard to compare.

Are you hearing a mechanical grinding noise or a knocking noise or is it just a whir-type noise? The VorTech is an external motor and will never be quieter than an internal type pump or powerhead.

Hi

I still contacting Asian area (the last letter is april 18th) from Feb

and I could not receive any part of them yet...

I found my noise from both dry and wet part and told him (DOM)
about this but what only he said is I should wait...

When Can I receive the related part?
Why is it so late? Until when I should wait?
