ohh man,,,i wish i could see this tank in person,,,very impress,,,
did SPAZZ build your skimmer?? i wonder how much is it gonna cost you totally fishes this project ?/
i am guessing is $50k or more??

A couple updates to note:

I finally have my air exchanger online in the fishroom. I can't believe the difference this does just for the "fish smell"! Also, the RO/DI is plumbed and I have already filled the 100g holding tank. I have hooked up my kalk reactor somewhat (I am using it to do manual water evap additions). I will add a float switch in the next week and I also have a Litermeter III on its way so I can dose both the SPS and LPS tanks. I can't wait to get both of these gadgets as I have already spilled 60 and 25 gallons of water on the floor due to leaving the holding tank running and forgetting about turning it off...oh wait, did I shut it off this morning?!?!?!?

I have added 4 softies/LPS and 13 SPS to the frag tanks as well as some fish to each tank. The majority of this livestock is going into the 600. Here is my list:

Lyretail Anthias - 1 Male, 3 Females
Damels - School of 8
Purple Tang
Yellow Tang (Hawaii)
Six Line Wrasse (Fiji)
Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab (Caribbean)
Banded Trochus Snail
Zebra Turbo Snail (Asia)
Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp (Sri Lanka)

Giant Green Polyp Duncan
Blastomussa merletti
Purple Tipped Fuzzy Acropora
Fireside Acropora Coral
Marshall Island Acropora, Yellow Fuzzy
Chips Acropora
Blue Ridge Coral
Neon Pineapple Tree Coral
Cadmium Pocillopora Coral
Pink Thick Branch Birdsnest Coral
Turquoise Staghorn
Blueberry Staghorn Acropora Coral
Cranberry Tip Acropora Coral
Endive Hydnophora Coral
Hodag's Montipora Coral
Tonga Branch Red Zoas
Frogspawn Coral

Thats about it. I will post pictures as soon as I get the camera from my wife ;)

Can you tap your holding tank with a JG fitting near the top, and hook a line into a sink/drain? I had several "accidents" and now at least when I forget to shut off the ro/di, it just drains back into the sink.

Matt

I have a JG fitting on the top for the holding tank that does drain into my sink, but my problem is I don't have a float switch or valve in my sump so when I turn on the valve manually on my holding tank to flow through the kalk reactor i have forgotten twice to turn it off. A float switch/solenoid combo would take care of this problem. I will also have a Litermeter III to dose my 2-part solution to the LPS tank as the SPS tank will have a calcium reactor.

I fill the 100 gallon holding tank, then about twice a day I turn the valve on at the bottom of the holding tank to fill the sump via the kalk reactor. I have to do it like this because all my auto top-off parts are on order. When I get the litermeter for one tank and the float switch/solenoid for the other I will automated at last.

Thanks, I do need to get all the wires organized better and mount my power strips. Once I get all the equipment placed I will know better what room for mounting and accessibility. My house is always open to tours!
