This is a build thread for my new project.

I recently moved to a brand new apartment. And the only place I could have a tank was this wall between the kitchen and livingroom.

This is the sketch I got from the manufactorer in Germany.

Later I changed the depth to 750 mm.

Previously I had a Deltec TC 1655 external skimmer. I wanted to try something else on this project and bought this used ATB skimmer from a guy in Denmark. It's a ATB Nano Cone B skimmer.

Not sure if I'm going to use a mesh or needlewheel impeller.

I have to cut a hole through the wall for the water-runoff box. Also have to move a light switch on the wall.

Hey dude. How are you? Look forward to this build. What lighting are you planning on using?

Gonna be great i bet. I will be watching..

Thanks, I am very excited about this new setup! I am not looking forward to move all my corals though:uhoh3:

Looks like its going to be pretty sweet. Excited to see it progress.

Thanks.

Hi! I'm good. Been kinda chaotic. New job, new apartment and a new system:bounce2: How are you? Is your tank making any progress?

I am going to try out led for my first time. I have ordered one of these: http://orphek.com/led/orphek-products/atlantik/

Really exciting, looking forward to the progress, thanks for sharing!

Thank you.

Updates:

Got a hole in the wall and a friend of mine helped me remove and change the light switch.

Here is the room behind the wall. Here I will have a sump and all the equipment.:bounce2:

Got myself a dedicated water output to my reversed osmosis (or what you guys call this in english) filter.

A fellow reefer helped me adding foil (is this the right word in english??) on the back wall. It's pretty matt black color.

Looking good Ill be watching. Im suprised an apartment will let you do changes to the actual structure of the building by drill holes through walls etc. Any apartment around here would fall over if we did that.

You had sweats on in the first round of pictures too! haha....dont worry Im rocking a pair right now.

Looking good....I like that you are keeping us up to date.

looking good, any concerns about the fridge door hitting the tank?

Thanks, I was, I thought I had to move the door to the other side, but it's exactly enough space to get it open. I'll glue on a little thing on the handle to protect the tank.

Thanks. The wall is not a bearing wall, so that's not a problem:)

Great looking Tank! Cannot wait to see some updates.

Thank you. I will update pictures later today (I hope).

Lol, yeah, it was a lazy sunday:celeb1:

Thank you. I'll keep you posted.

Will follow, looks awesome!

We have the same Stokke tripp trapp chair ;)

Thank you. The Stokke chair is making my life easier:) It's an old Norwegian design.

Hej!

Looks great will be following this!

Thank you :)

Corals everywhere, couldn't find room to more than 50% of the liverock.

Everything looked fine a couple of days. Then some of the larger colonies started to RTN.

That resulted in this.

I've lost 90% of my Montiporas (around 10 pieces), every single Acropora (around 90 pieces including a couple of frags) except my Pearlberry (I don't think it will make it, but I hope it will) and three fish (flameangel, anthias and a wrasse). Also my Regal Angel (PD) are having a weird behaviour.

What a weekend. Now my tank is empty except a couple of LPS, Liverock and the pearlberry:facepalm:

Uggg. This hobby can be so brutal. I've been in this hobby a long time and been through a few events like that. Keep on trucking and you'll fill the tank back up before you know it.
