One of the best collection of acros I've seen, nice photography skills too!
Both are very nice fishes. I like the Auromarginatus; these fishes have an awesome body shape, I love how they swim.My brother has a Niger Trigger; and it looks amazing. Yeah, my bro keep glass covers on his tank because of the jumping.
As for the Rubrimarginatus, thats a nice fish too, adds some nice colourful, movement to the tank.
I managed to get hold of another slightly different type of Strawberry shortcake. This one is a faster grower. I already made a frag of it and it has nicely encrusted. My tank had about 15ppm nitrates, but it still is holding very good colour. I am doing more water changes to bring the nitrates.
The person I got it from is a retailer, he cultured the shortcake for a year. He is not releasing it yet, but when I visited his place, he sold me a frag of it.This one has the same signature green base with pink tips. Lovely.
But it just shows that cultured corals are hardier and better at holding colour.
PS, I am swapping to Canon system. My now ancient Nikon D70 camera battery wont hold charge. I will hold onto my classic Nikkor lens but sell off the other stuff and buy a Canon 650D (T4i) next month. Early in the new year I intend to buy a 100mm macro for it.
Meanwhile I will use lens from my two brothers; they both have canon cameras.
What do you think of the Canon 650D?
One of the best collection of acros I've seen, nice photography skills too!
Wow dude, the FTS type shots really shows how much your tank has progressed!![]()
Its looking "full" in a good way. Lots of colour and the corals are much bigger. I am so used to seeing mainly single coral shots; but seeing these shots I can see that your tank has come along so well.
I also notice that brown fuzz appears to have disappeared? You still have some Cyanno, but it looks a lot better. Other than using Coral Snow, how did you get rid of the brown fuzzy stuff? Is the Cyanno getting better?
Thanks.
Very nice! That Selago is quite nice too. Your Echinata is called an Aussie Echinata, not an Icefire Echinata.
The reason being that the Icefire Echinata is actually lineages to original from Aquascene. The Aquascene version has blue tips with the branches and main stem being a green colour. The Aussie Echinata has blue tips, some green along the stems, but the main body is a pale cream colour. Still, the Aussie Echinata is VERY nice.
How are you other corals doing? Would love to see updated coral shots. Goodluck with the new corals.![]()
Very nice tank can i get some pics of the system and lights?
that is probably the nicest Suharsonoi I've ever seen.
Some sweet stuff for sure! Nice score.
