So sadly, I'll be sailing out in the Atlantic doing research instead of attending this month's meeting. I hope you guys don't mind. I'll take plenty of pictures for sure. Maybe a little slideshow at the December meeting?

Luck with Salty, umm Maybe we should wish you luck when you return and you having to explain your trip to the Virgin Islands while she was home in the cold.

Holy crap, Collin!! That's amazing. I spent 50 days on a research cruise in the equatorial Pacific during graduate school. I think you'll love it. I can't imagine anyone holding that against you in the elections.

My Dearest Franky,

As your humble PR guy,

Unfortunately the club will not be doing any advanced ticket sales for people who will not be present at the meeting. There are a few reasons for this:

1. We don't want to set a precedent that will carry over to all meetings and folks will assume that they can just submit some money in hopes to the win the raffle prize. We want the folks to participate in the meetings and discussion. (Now I realize you are a member who really gives to the club and would not just submit money to win the raffles and never show up)

2. Trying to organize the tickets for everyone will be very time consuming as I'm sure you're not the only one who would take advantage of this

I would suggest you find a trustworthy reef-mate to buy you some tickets and work out a way for you to be able to get yourself into the raffle.

The BoD might have some more insight to this, but I know these were a few of the snippets they mentioned.
