Porky,
How many polyps are your frags and is there anything you are looking for specifically?
Hey Kevin, what's up man? You should come on down I think you'd have a good time.
I have several frags available. I'm not looking for anything in particular, let me know what you have available, I'm sure we can work out something.

The wife monster was planning on fragging parts of me to trade.
:(

Problem is finding someone who wants to trade for those frags :eek1: I'm not sure there are many members looking for human pcs. Although, I could probably get a few grand for a liver or something useful on the black market

Wait, after reading about the CORA meetings maybe your liver won't be worth anything after all. ;)

Does anyone have any green sps frags or colony sized frags they would be willing to bring? My tank needs some green in it.

Thanks

I have some rather large accidental frags of a bright green polyp SPS. I was working in the tank and bumped the colony and now have 2 or 3 frags about 3" long. I will try to get pics up for anyone interested.

Joe I think she should wait until you grow out a bit more.

Good one Mark!!!!

OK I took some pics of the 3 frags I accidentally made. I do not know what species this coral is but it looks quite a bit greener under just the T-5s. I took these pics with the 250w 10k XM MH. The sizes are approx guesses. mattheadington you are first in line if you want one. Anyone else PM with what you have to offer. I like zoas a lot and do not have any reds yet. I also like softies and LPS... just about anything. I don't need any more green stuff though.

First pics are the mother colony. If anyone can ID it I would appreciate it.

one week and counting.
I'll post pics of what I'm bringing to trade shortly.

anybody else bringing corals?

I'll have a couple pieces of leathers and possibly a small zoa frag. I'll post pics tomorrow as well. Are we arranging trades on here or is it supposed to be a free for all when we get there?

Fragging Advice

Fragging Advice

Hi Folks,

I recently found CORA and would like to join and attend your frag swap next week. It sounds like fun. I do have a couple of questions:

Can I sign up then, or should I sign up online? (don't have paypal acct, would have to do that)

I have some green hairy mushrooms that I would like to trade. I've transplanted some polyps, (super-glued to new rocks) but I've not messed with these. I would bring in whole specimens, but they aren't really permanent residents (like a polyp). They have feet more like anemones and don't really stay put.

Can I just bring in some with 'sandy feet' or would 'rocked' ones be preferred?

I would have ~15 minute drive, how should I transport (rubbermaid tub, cooler, bags?)

I saw someone somewhere suggest bringing a 10gal tank with a light. Yes/No? (Presentation is crucial!)

Ah... so many questions!

Russell

great glad you found us. you can sign up either way we'll gladly take your application at the meeting!
frags either way will work attached or not. preffered method to transport is in small tupperware or bags non ziplock (they leak) :)
you can bring the tank if you like, however this swap is fairly informal. for this one might be better to just take a pic or 2 of the coral in your tank as a reference.

I think this mini swap at the meeting is a GREAT idea. Unfortunately all of my livestock will be in temporary quarters (I hope) when the meeting occurs...not a good time to be swapping for me. I hope we do this again in the future. :)
