Here is the thread where you can see all of the entries:

http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=949703&perpage=25&pagenumber=1

I have asked the owners of the Top 10 Nano's to post some new pictures and a brief writeup of their systems in this thread so it's easier for people to vote.

The Top 10 nano's belong to:

rockindacheeks

jdmhonda954

CoralFiend

louist

genix

Please wait until all owners get a chance to post their pictures in this thread until you vote.

Also please hold off on any comments or questions until all 10 are posted. That way all the posts will be on the same page.

Thanks for all of the entries in the first thread and for your intrest in this thread. It was hard coming up with just 10 but I tried to get a good mix to show what can be done in these tanks.

First, Colin and Frankie's choices represent the diversity that can be kept in these small tanks, and they should be commended for that! Also, there's some stiff competition here, and good luck to everyone!

My nano is a 24 gal. AquaPod, stock lighting, with 2 36 W PC "upgrades" to give it about 130 W total. Other than a few fans, a Seio 620 hidden in the rockwork, and an airstone driven "skimmer" (of sorts -- hard to explain in words), everything else is stock. 5 gallon water changes weekly with CC vacuuming is about all the maintenance I give it, along with topoff and 2-part dosing. A purple firefish and highfin goby (plus Randall's pistol shrimp) are the only fish. I was asked to limit it to 3 pictures, but I'll post more later after others have posted theirs, so here they are (original in other post omitted) with more of a close up feel:

i guess i'll post next...
i have a 12gal nanocube dx 04 model... i retrofitted it with two more 24watt PC bulbs for a total of 96watts (heavily actinic)... i installed most of the usual nanocube upgrades... hydorflo, maxijet900, ica chiller, millmod surface skimmer, upgraded/added more fans, 3ccfl lights etc.etc... a more detailed equiptment list can be found here.
the tank has been running for almost 2 years now... as for stocking... its acan/micro frag dominated, with some zoo frags, and other random corals/inverts... i currently have two fishes a purple firefish and a 4-line wrasse...
hmm.. wat more to say... um heres an interesting fact... all my livestock was bought local... ive never had any livestock shipped... sometimes its nice to live in california... :D

heres the two FTS pics i submitted for the original TOTM entry list (click to enlarge):

ill go next...

My tank is a standard $10 AGA 10 gallon aquarium. For lighting i built a canopy to house my 150 HQI XM 20K and 2- 3" fans for cooling. For filtration i use an Aqua-Clear 50 HOB filter that i converted into a fuge that holds some live rock rubble and Cheato. My tank is very simple and thats what i love about it. Very little maintenance makes this tank so fun.

livestock: I have a wide variety of corals. The tank is pretty much zoo dominated with some yumas, montiporas (digitata and danae) there are a few LPS corals as well (hammer, 3 different candy canes, and blastos) xenia a toadstool leather and a Crocea clam. For fish i have a yellow watchman Goby and a Black Saddle clown.

enjoy...
