Finally after 3 years of being away from the hobby, I finally decided to get back today, after much reading and shopping around I decided to go with a 38 gallon Novu with led lights, this marks the start of my new adventure, I hope to hear from You guys that have the same set up and share with me any experiences ups and downs and specially how the led lights do when it comes to corals, again can't wait to get this baby running😃

So does anyone have any experience with the nuvo double strip led lights? I will like to know how they do with corals no matter which kind.

I've had this tank previously. Loved it, it was such a great tank! Definitely regret selling it back in the day haha.

No complaints other than the DT part is just such a weird shape. Kinda hard to aquascape, at least for me it was. I was stuck doing a wall of rock build, which I didn't mind too much.

For mine, I kept a Kessil 150W over the tank and it did great. I had corals growing all over!

Not familiar with the light. Have seen it in action, though not over long-term use.

Today I went and got the filters for my rodi unit that was sitting around for 2 years, the chemical sponges for the baskets, hydrometer and test kit, I'm still undecided on which salt mixed to get, I'm either gonna going to go with tropic marine or red sea coral pro but I'm still undecided,I will be getting the fully cure live rocks next week, can't wait to get back to it.

almost a week old and pH is low.

almost a week old and pH is low.

Almost a week old already and all the water parameters look pretty good except the PH, right now the PH is sitting at 8.0 during the day and 7.8 at night, I wonder if I should try a pH buffer now or wait a little longer, what do you guys think?

By the way I used live rock that was established from the lfs and wow the amount of life that I see when the lights go off is amazing, lots of copepods, bristle worms many feather duster, I'm so excited about all this, can't wait to get my first fish in

the tank is coming along very well😃

the tank is coming along very well😃

It has been two months since the tank was put together, the original leds lights were replaced with a AI sol that was upgrade to the 54 light leds, I got a diy bio pellets reactor and a MP 10, also I have 4 fish in it, a pair of black and white clowns a royal gramma and a six line wrasse, this is going to be a anemone tank so I'm not sure if I'm going to add corals, So far I'm very happy with the progress.
