Here are two more pics of the Acan. The other pic I posted was right after I put it in the tank. Here is a more expanded shot along with a moonlight shot.

Here is a pic of a chalice I got a couple weeks ago. The pic doesn't do it justice.

I just noticed this thread and wanted to say: that is some great Aquascaping with some great rock. I quite like the green Acan in post 101. Did you get it online? if so where?

Thanks a lot! I'm really pleased with the way this tank is coming together. The Acan actually came from my LFS. Someone locally traded it in during a tank breakdown. I'm not sure where he got it though.

I'll start with some of the new guys. First is the Purple Dinosaurs Goniastrea.

Here it is with the Super Green Favia. The Favia darkened up some, but it should lighten up to its true color soon.

This is what it looked like before the trip...

Next up are the Team Heineken Goniastrea(right) and Troll Army Goniastrea(left). I can't wait for the Troll Army to fully color up! It's already growing another eye.

I'll end with some other various shots. First is my Duncanopsammia axifuga.

Tyree Pumpkin Pie Chalice. I almost completely lost this guy, but I'm very happy with the improvement.

Here is a group shot. Starting top left and going clockwise, Nuclear Green Palythoa, Purple Death Palythoa, Tyree Pumpkin Pie, and a Rainbow War Coral frag.

Here's my ORA Blue Chalice. I think this one will be awesome when it's bigger. It's grown some, but not too much yet.

Finally here's my GSP with a nice Acanthastrea echinata frag.

Stice start you have there, nUgZ.

Have you given any thought to putting a background on the tank? It may help make the corals pop a little.

Nice job on the aquascape, it will be interesting to see when all of your corals grow out!

Thanks! I have thought about a background, but you can actually lose reflectivity and some usable light when using one. I may try a removable background at some point, but I expect my corals to pop on their own.

Well I post a lot of pictures, but I don't talk about the tank a ton. I figured it was time to post some info. Several weeks ago I broke part of my Aquaclear filter when I was cleaning it, so I just stopped using it. I was only using it to hold carbon or some filter floss and I haven't noticed any negative effects from not using it. I'm still using the Prism Skimmer that was given to me, and it produces some nice skimmate. I try to spot feed my corals every two days or so and I feel better with a skimmer helping out. I'm currently running a Koralia 3, Koralia Evolution 750, and a Koralia Evolution 1050. I LOVE the new Koralia Evolutions. They are smaller, use less power, are silent, and you can run them on a wavemaker. That's all for the flow, but I'm pretty happy with the 66 times an hour turnover. The only thing I'm using for lighting is a 150w Radium 20k bulb and some blue LED moonlights for part of the evening. This may change drastically sometime, but we'll see what happens. I really kind of like having some shaded parts of the tank, but I do wish I had more places to put corals that need light. I have several Nassarius and Astrea snails, but I plan to get a few more. I also have some small blue leg hermits, but they really **** me off sometimes. Not so much the really small ones, but the larger ones. The Yellow Tang is still doing well and eats like a pig. The Diadema Pseudochromis is also fat and happy, but I really don' want him in the tank anymore. He's a bully and really limits my future fish options. The problem is that my wife loves him. We'll see what happens. There are also two Green Chromis. I had three, but one died after about a week. I may get a couple more to add to the school. I've begun removing the shells from the sandbed here and there. It's not as easy as you would think. I do want a cleaner sandbed though and this will help. I think that's about all for now. More pics to come and thanks for looking.

Here is a new frag that was just cut yesterday. Once it's growing this thing will be ridiculous! Baby's Breath.

Here's are two comparison shots. The first was my Superman Cyphastrea at the end of January when I got it and the second was from today. Not bad for 3 months. It's getting there...

Well I've gotten a number of corals recently, and I still need to place most of them in the rockwork. Here are some pics for now, but I hope to do a bit of work on it this weekend. First are some updated pics.

So I took out a lot of the shell pieces that were on the sand and I like it a lot better now. I'll continue to remove them until they are all gone. I hope to get a FTS later tonight. The bowerbanki is settling in nicely.
