Well speaking to George today it looks like this year is the best so far the way it sounded...
He was able to get butterflies, Look downs, even a blue tang and more!!

So I was thinking to start the club back up in September and have a trip to our spot say around Sept 15 or the Sept 22 say around 10am so who is down?

Weather and water is still warm so lets go!!!
I think since that breach in fire Island this year will get a lot more tropical!!

I will get with George and reach out to Paul B to arrange a date and time since we had a blast last year!!!

So save the Date!!!!

who came out last year?

I was there last year with my dog donte and will come this year with donte too :) I think this date would be the best Sept 15 what do you guys think ??? I will go in the water this time lol

In my opinion let's make it the 15th. Low tide is around 2:00pm, so it can be a nice relaxing afternoon trip -- get there around 1:00.

Rob, there's a new sign at the entrance to the parking lot that says no dogs. Really stupid if you ask me seeing as this place is not much of a family beach, mainly fisherman on the rocks. But I also saw a guy with two big Labs... so, I guess you just take your chances that the cops won't hassle you.

A few pics of what I and my LIKA (LI Killifish Assoc.) buddies got last Thursday. By the way, the Tang is not an Atlantic Blue Tang, the juveniles of which are yellow; it's a Doctorfish Tang, Acanthurus chirurgus.

It's awful lonely here. I hope it's going to be more than just me and my wife.
