O no!!!! Need another tank i think......any input?

so i got home from work today and my water level was low, i look and my carpet in front of the tank is SOAKED!!! I lost about 10-15 gallons so far at the least id guestimate.
Under my tank it is LEAKING!! From the plastic rim on the bottom i see drips forming all over and the dripping down. Not sure why this just Started and is coming from everywhere but now i dont know what to do and i figiure i have these four options,

1. Does any one have a tank size-60"x18"x25.5"- for sale for a good price?

2. Upgrade to a 180 but dont have that much extra money with it being holiday time and then i would have to upgrade my lights(just bought a new Tek 5, 4 bulb setup three months ago for $600 and it is 60" long like my tank) so i could trade that maybe and some money for a 180 reef tank set up with lights, then just use the pumps and what not that i already own. Or try to sell stuff off after i buy a tank but i dont have all that money to buy a new setup.(my fav option,cause id love to upgrade,preferably when planned though...lol as if that ever happens,go as planned??)

3. Fix my tank....if it is possible to run a bead of some sort of advehivse along the plastic strip and the glass and would stop water from leaking? Or do i have to drain my tank and cut/clean/re-caulk it from the inside?
(what a pain and id rather upgrade,my tank has a some scratches anyways,but if its cost affective)

4. The worst option,rubbermaid tub everything and keep it alive untill i can sell it, which i dont want to do but might have to if i cant find a set up or tank to hold everything....

Any input on what you would do? I have towels under/in the stand and i cleaned up the water on the ground,the towels are catching the water but that will only work for so long....
 
If it were me, I'd get everything in a Rubbermaid tub in my basement pronto.

That'll buy you some time and you'll be able to think clearly about the direction you'd like to head. I don't think there's any sense in hastily buying something immediately. You'll pay top dollar and may not be happy with it in the end. Plus, you might lose all of your livestock anyway if your current tank gives up the ghost before you get the new one in.

Best affordable tub? Needs to be a good size because I don't have double pumps or korillas or another light so it would have to hold everything. And where to get it? Thanks for the input so far!!! And yeah that is prolly my best bet

(I just went through this)

*set a bucket under the drip and monitor it- leaks will "travel"

*search for a replacement aquarium

I believe Mel (dreaminmel) has a 180 for sale as well.
I bought a 150G stock tank at Tractor Supply - I forget how much I paid, definitely under $100. Mine is about 3' by 4', but they also have larger, longer tanks.

+1 on the rubbermaid, get a 100 gallon(about 80 bucks?) put the tank on cinder blocks and use your sump now on it. So same setup just in a rubbermaid. this way you don't lose your live stock and than you can also save to get a 180 that you'd like to have.
 
So I have everything in rubbermaid tubs, so far my two yellow tail damels,green manderian,6 line wrasse and my blue star fish have all died!! :-( I checked my levels and they are good so I'm thinking the move stressed them out??? Still on the hunt, jaf sold his already and dreaminmel de ides to keep his.... Even thinking about down grading for now to a smaller tank maybe cause yeah brand new is too much for me to spend, if things keep on going down hill I might be having a cheap sale of corals and fish!!!
 
After I seen that I now have flow and a air pump running also. They are starting to act normal, the fish that is, that are left... Thanks for the tips again!! I appricate every bit of info I have received!!
 
Please tell me you put the rubbermaid on top of some foam insulation? You're not going to like your electric bill if you don't... Heating the earth in the winter is expensive
 
LOL I actually have them set up in my dinning room in my table!! My pellet stove keeps my house around 75 also so my heaters don't do that much work. But yeah good point.
So I think not knowing how important that oxagenaytion was and I've lost both tangs(yellow,hippo) both damsels,2 manderian, my 6 line wrasse, all my shrimp(banded, mini banded,3 peppermint,and a pistol shrimp. My serpent star is not looking good either... The coral all looks ok.
Were gonna just order a new tank... Tap into our savings.
We have the insurance company coming to look cause our two year old solid oak living room floor is ruined!!! It is all new plywood,joists,everything... Gotta love it...
 
I think it's always good to put a hole in the floor near a tank. Even a small one. If there is a leak much of the water drops to the basement.
 
Yup, luckly I have a old house with a stone floor basement so the water that went down their dissapated. I would say around 40 gallons or so was lost all said and done!! Still a good idea!!

believe it or not:

you're lucky it wasn't a freshwater aquarium. Once evaporated, salt absorbed by wood will prevent mold.
 
I did not know that about the salt preventing mold. Ya learn something new everyday I guess. :-) only coral lost is my green pavona, but he was already discoloring, as I was trying to find him a good spot before this started. My huge serpent star is looking/ moving/acting better. He's my fav so I hope he makes it!! From tip to tip I'd say he is about 16" of pure sweetness!!!!
