Do you think one radion is enough for your tank? I have a 40 breeder that I am setting up and I am trying to decide between the radion or DIY led. If I would need two I would probably do DIY.

The radion is great over the 24x24. It does dim toward the edges and beyond so it depends on your livestock set up. I believe the breeder is more of a rectangle so the livestock set up would be important.

nice growth rates! im def. sticking around to see your updates since im in the process of saving up for these leds. unfortunately im a college student and saving is a little hard right now.

Any change in Radion profile? I assume thats Artifical mode with program points using pre-defined day/night spectrum? Thanks. Scott

Scott, yes artificial mode still at 60%. Had gone to 65 but thought I saw bleaching on the Cali tort so I backed it down. Will try to move up by 1% envy other week from here on and will post the change in march as well.

plankton and tozzi Here is my radion profile and the light hangs 6" above water and tank height is 21 1/2. I am moving each settin up 1% every other week.

8Am Royal Blue 100% Cool White 100% intensity 5%
9am 14K intensity 44%
11am 12K int 54%
2:30pm 12K int 63%
5:30pm 12K 54%
7:30pm 14K 48%
9Pm 20K 44%
10 pm Royal Blue 50% intensity 2%
10:20pm off night mode

Also I removed the acrylic top in early December and replaced with this screen top I made. I forgot to post this in the thread as I had started with the acrylic top but switched it out early. So the light is over open water for the most part.

how are you finding growth at deeper water levels?

I am finding that I am getting good growth at the lower portion of the tank. I also selected the appropriate corals to put lower like the green gecko and the monti cap. I do have the turquoise stag and the rose Mille lower as well. They are coloring up well and showing good growth too. The LPS does great on the bottom as I have added some acans that are doing well along with the Goniopora. I did lose a wellsophyllia to too much flow and light though.

Got sme new frags it may take a couple of posts for the pictures. I will be doing the growth shots on 3/10 as well
