Tank looks great. How do you like 12K? I ask because I like the crisp white but it is very, very bright. I was getting a little green algae only on the surface of the top rock and after I backed off the 12K down to 18K did it go away. Curious if you have seen any algae using 12K?

Scott, thanks. The 12k is bright but I have had no algea issues at this setting or as I have moved up the intensity. I have had some cyano issues but not real bad. Its not bad enough to make me go lights out and is a back and forth issue. My parameters are good so I'll just deal with it. I like the color as it moves form 12k to 14k the best.

I got a call from Jeff at Life Reef that he had a cancellation and that my sump is shipping out early as in now instead of May. I spent the weekend getting ready. Here is a update of the progress to date. This should almost double my water volume. Adding about 26 gallons. Im really excited as this will really clean up the DT as well..
Current tank & Cabinet

All HOB

Cleared out and re wired ( Hanging wires and mess are still in use but will clear out on switch

Moved power strips to behind front lip of cabinet
Moved Eco tech Controller into cabinet

Mounted the Ballest

Going to keep the top off system for now with BRS 50ML doser & Timer but I am planning on going Tunze Osmo--Also switching to the Tall thin canisters for the 2 part from BRS

The cardboard is a cut out of the units coming the sump & refugium. Will post pictures once set up

Assembly done!!!

I will be doing a leak test hopefully this weekend. Then I am going to plumb into the cabinet and get the sump and refugium filled with correct temp and parameters and let the fun begin. I am really excited to switch out the HOB Refugium as I have had issues with it breaking the siphon. This filter box is supposed to be very fail safe from all I have researched so that will be a nice peace of mind. Will give a review after its up for awhile of this and the whole set up. I got a CLF1 Sump with Mag 12 return, SVS2-24 Skimmer 9.5 mag running it, Nano Prefilter & overflow box, 20 x 12 x 18 custome refugium with Coral life 20" light. Should add about 26 gallons when done. I am also waiting on the 2LF 150 to start running GFO. I am hoping this will slide into the 3" cylinder rack in the sump as well.

Here are a couple quick pictures on the initial install. I still have to trim the return hose and secure a few more wires. Also the timer near the top off is mounted up high I had pulled it down to program and forgot to put it back before the pictures.

Much cleaner on the display..The PH meter will be mounted underneath..

Thanks Tom it is much cleaner now. I still have a few more tweaks. I'm going to add the profulix doser eventually. I got the tall thin gal jugs from BRS for my 2 part that will fit to the right of my refugium. The overflow is crazy loud. My family is going nuts on me as its in the family room with the tv. Jeff is sending the silencer out so we will see if that does the trick. All the noise comes from the drain tube in the box everything else is really quiet so hopefully it will work. I will report back once installed

Did you get the silencer? On my old setup I had the Lifereef overflow and it was pretty loud. The silencer helped a good bit. But drilling my current tank with a glass holes overflow is silent.

Tom got it and it works great no more noise. The whole set up has been great-- no comparison to all the HOB I had on the tank. Should be updating some growth pictures in a week or so. Have had some nice growth this past month.
