Not sure why the Current Aquapod is not in the mix more here in this thread. Up here in the Seattle area it's the main deal going in stores, and everyone seems to love 'em I've spoken to.
So what makes the Biocube for example better than the aquapod? (or worth the extra $$)
I have an Ap12 and my boss just picked up a bio-cube 14 so i have been checking it out like crazy.
the bio-cube does appear to have superior craftsmanship.
Ap12 wins in the lighting department
I do like the stock set up of the return nozzle on the biocube by far better.
The bio-cube is almost silent with everything on where as the Ap12's cooling fans sound like they are going to lift off!
bio-cube= more gallons, better plastic work, improved return nozzle, hell the bottom glass even looked tinted suppose for BB people.
Ap12= more lighting and 4 chambers instead of 3 also a bit short for better light penetration to make even better use of the additional wattage
So all in all while the bio-cube is a few couple more gallons and prettier the Ap does have more raw power and is easier for the dyi fuge and cheaper.
I will be on the look out for the next all in one to hit the market before i purchase the larger version for my home use.
