They were starting to pack it today, I would expect it to ship this week. I'll post when I get a shipping confirmation.
 
yup, I spoke to Paul yesterday, not about our group buy, but about my tank set up..and he told me it would ship as well... cant wait..

I'm done waiting -- way too long...forget it...i'm just gonna do something else with my tank...whoever wants my Super Squirt can have it.

Curious question this has taken quite a while now and wondering if I can get my money back because it has taken so long and right now it seems like everyone in my opinion is getting upset about this deal so can I have my money back???
 
Nobody said this was going to be a speedy process. I'm certainly not trying to scam anyone, group buys can take time to get everyone coordinated. Oceans Motions is a small shop and it takes time to fill such a large order, I'm sure hey don't have hundreds of these things just sitting on the shelf. Nor would I expect them to start making units before they have been paid for. When we hit 10 people I offered to close the GB and start collecting money but people requested that we keep it open a few more days. We spent one week collecting orders and started collecting money on 3/28, on 4/3 I placed the order. At that point it is out of my hands.

I expect to have the units on 4/11 or 4/12 at which point I will make every effort to have out of town units packaged and shipped by the end of the week. You can expect to receive them during the week of 4/17 or maybe even before that. Everyone has pre paid for their units so if you don't want yours anymore then you can always resell it. However, that responsibility is on you, if you need your unit shipped elsewhere then you need to notify me before the shipment arrives. As soon as they arrive I will post in this thread at which point we will begin to ship.

I'm not running amazon.com here guys, just wanted to do something nice for the community and help people get a discount.

You have done an excellent job keeping us all in the loop and well informed. This is ridiculous that you have to not only jump through hoops to accomidate all of us...including those of us from the East Coast but then to have to have people start pulling out and questioning your work and integrity. I don't know you at all but you have certainly done more than your share of work and accepted alot of unnecessary grief. If some people have a problem with this group order...and you all know who you are...then don't do a group order again.

Get Real!!!!! And worry about something that matters.

I second that Rebecca, I live in Florida and do not understand how anyone could question what you guys have done. The order was placed 6 days ago. The units will have to be shipped several times, why would you want money back now? Since the order IS placed, who is supposed to refund money? UNBELIEVABLE

Good job James, thank you again for letting us Southern East Coasters in on a good deal.
 
Thanks bimmer and billfish. I did not mean to sound short, it's just hard for me to refund money that I have already sent off to Oceans Motions. :(

Chef, if you do end up finding someone to take yours or plan on doing that please let me know so we can coordinate shipping.
 
Seriously..money back? the stuff shipped..I spoke to Paul at OM and he said it was going out early this week... if you want your money back, there are plenty of guys here looking to get in, so get the money from them, and then they will be MORE than happy.

BTW, dont speak for the rest of us in saying it seems we are all upset...I dont know anyone except for you who is upset.

Hey Chef, thanks for the understanding and patience for our hard work. Actually, go fly a kite. We didn't set this thing up for people as hard-nosed as you. Thanks everyone else for the understanding and patience.

PS - how would you go about getting your money back? from who would you get it back if it was already paid for, processed, and shipped?

Siapin, take a step back my friend, there is no need to get upset over one dissatisfied person, it happens. While we all understand that there is nothing that can be done at this late stage, and the 99% of the group is satisfied with how it's being handled, don't let one person cause you greater problems down the road.
chef made a choice to get in on the group buy, and he must live with it, end of story. As long as everyone is kept informed (which I believe we all have) and everyone receives there product that they paid for, that's all that matters in the end. Don't waste your efforts on someone that may not ever be satisfied, just follow thru with the deal.

Now let's all play nice :D
