Ocellaris or Percula how to tell the difference

I purchased a black misbar clown from another reefer. I would like to get her a new friend. How do I tell if I have a black Ocellaris or black Percula? Do I need to purchase another misbar? Thanks,

no such thing as a black percula. just often mislabeled in stores. doesnt have to be a misbar either

ExtremeClownfish, thanks for the response. But I am a little unhappy with ya. I was reading your thread on your Nov 09 baby clownfish and it stopped on 2-5-10....so did they make it? That was very interesting and I liked your pictures. Are you still raising them? How many different batches do you raise a year?

They made it. I still have a pair of them. My favorite clowns. Sorry Berto, can't help myself, I really like those clowns. lol

yes i sold them. i ended up selling almost all my fish stuff and took a break. thats where im at now. i kept my old pair of picasso's, and they might be spawning so i may start raising fish again. Got any pics of those clowns Glenn? im curious to see what they look like.

Not at the moment. I need to break the camera out and take some pics. Female is about 1.5" and the other is 1" roughly. I should have taken winky home. :lmao:
