Here are some pics of my lil guy/gal. Thrilled for this new addition and it is already eating PE Mysis and Cyclopleeze.

I was at the MACI (cmas) event last weekend and won one in a raffle. I only bought $20 worth!!! I will post picture tomorrow

Talk to Dennis at FJW; he got a couple in last week. If he doesn't have them in he will order them for you. Hit me up if you need directions/contact info for them. One of if not the best reef store in town if you haven't been there.


My borb is in his acro display at the moment.
 
Im after a pair of these, is there a way to sex them?

Also I have noticed some have yellow spots while others have brown, is this due to collection area or juv coloration?

Look at the dorsal fin if the 3ed spine is elongated it is a male
 
Thanks. I looked up the store and will have to head out there in the near future. I've never been. I made my purchases for this pay period. I'll check out FJW next payday! :)

I had a tank disaster and my LFS was kind enough to hold onto my borb while I got a new tank cycled and ready. This was a month or so ago....my LFS calls me yesterday and says their SPS display sprung a leak and to come get the borb. Luckily I have a 30 that he could go in for the next week as I finish up my cycle...

He's roughly 3.5-4" and an eating machine!

I had my trio borbs in QT for 4 weeks and introduce last Sunday in my DT, after doing well.
They went straight for the rock work and are still hiding.
Is that normal? it's been 3 days now, and they are the only fish right now in DT...
 
Yes, they'll hide a bit. IME, with a trio, is the dominant fish will become the most visible, the "middle slightly less so, and the most submissive will pop out when the "big guy" is otherwise occupied.
 
I have had mine for almost a month. Only eats frozen mysis and brine shrimp.

Taste the dry pellets and flakes and spits them out. Will it ever take dry food? Ive mixed in dry and frozen and will go after frozen only.
 
Mine's been in captivity for 3.5yrs and he eats anything that hits the water. He'll even take the occasional cast off Nori shred that results from the voracious feeding of his tang tankmates.
Mine hid alot at first too. But once I added larger fish that stay out and move alot, he started staying out more and more.
