Official Borbonius Anthias Thread

Minimum tank size on liveaquaria.com is 125, though they would probably be ok in a 65+ while juvenile. Is your 20 a qt or your display?

Well, my husband is picking up one now.... I sure do hope we are successfull....
I will be placing him/her in a 65 tall for now and them move it over to the main tank...

The one I just bought died in 4 days. My water is fine, but the fish was dying when I bought it unfortunately. He had a 72 hour guarantee was all too.

I am not too sad about this one. He never looked good so I assumed the worst from day 1.

The tank is going to be receiving a 110 gallon sump/ upgrade so once I finish that build and get things figured I will see if I can't find another.

Such is life.

^Want to send me one? I will give you $10 in addition to the purchase $ for your time :)

OOOOR get me their # and I will call and see if they will ship one to me.

the exporting price of borbs have gone up, as well as them not catching as many. there was a mass influx a year or 2 ago when they dropped in price pretty low compared to now. I assume people also stopped buying them due to the poor collection issues they generally face. 200-300$ for a well established/eating/properly decompressioned borb is a good price IMO... you could try 4, or wait and pay extra for someone to do it for you...

ohhh so that's why I was able to get mine for under $100.

I finally got one from my LFS. Put in a request a couple of months ago and I got the call that they got it! Pics to come soon. I'm freaking excited, I have been wanting one of these guys forever.

Was excited to see two small specimens at my LFS. Both were eating and I got to pick from two. She/he is a little more than an inch and eating pellets now.
