Official Innovative Marine Owners Thread

I just wish it was packed better. It was a box within a box. And there was no real packaging or styrofoam peanuts. I don't know who is responsible for that part. Fingers crossed for next week.

I have had my Nuvo 38 setup for a week now. I called and spoke with Matt at IM for like 45 minutes today and we talked about everything, including other manufacturers products that would be best for my setup. Anyhow here is what I have:
-24" Skkye Lights (verified good for soft and LPS corals)
-IM Skimmer
-30lbs Pukani live rock
-40lbs live sand Hawaiian black
Future purchase will be the IM minimax media reactor with bio pellets. Run filter floss and chemipure elite in the media baskets doubled up on 1 side.

Hi Everyone.. I bought a nuvo 30 last November and have decided its time to upgrade my lights. I currently have the dimmable dual strip and want to upgrade to either the Maxspect Nano Razor R420R 16,000K LED Light Fixture or the 92W SKKYE LIGHT. Please help me decide :)

I posted this in my build thread but thought I would add it here. The picture is a link to the update video.

Just upgraded my 16 to the 38 w a reefbreeder photon 24. Just finished the cycle and moved everything over. Absolutely amazing colors that I've never seen from my corals before. Everyone is a little angry right now. Pics to follow soon.
Great thread!

I've read somewhere that you should put something underneath your tank between the tank and the stand because these are rimless tanks. I just cant remember what type of material. Has anyone done this or remember what the material should be. Thanks

So here is the new 38 with the reefbreeders photon 24...sorry my camera makes everything look purple. I assure you the colors and coverage are incredible with this light. The light mount was acquired at Home Depot. It's actually a wall mount for a DVD player or cable box. Works well as I can slide the light back to work on the tank. Theres 30+/- of live rock...hope you like the scape. I also added an MP10, In-Tank media basket, Tunze ATO, cobalt heater, an IM reactor(ordered) and the new CAD Lights nano protein skimmer (ordered). Have a couple clowns, a goby, spot tail blenny, blue chromie, cleaner shrimp and a new bubble tip anemone (it was a gift not my idea).
Enjoy and please share your thoughts.

The old tank...

Hi everyone! I got my Razor Nano over my Nuvo 30 and I must say its extremely bright. I was running it at 100% and it forced my anemone under a rock. I turned it down to 60% max now and hopefully he will come back out from under the rock.

Are you guys running refugiums in the back of the Nuvo? I have their utility light and have cheato in the second chamber from the right corner. In that spot I have a lot of algea growth which I'm afraid will eventually clog my return pump. Im thinking of removing it right now. My nitrates are less than 1.0 ppm and my PO4 is 0.07. I think I might try Phosphate-E to lower the phospahtes. I am currently using a phosban reactor with phosban to remove my phosphates. I am just tired of cleaning the back where the refugium is every water change. The algea accumulates a lot neat the section where the return pump is located.. Its kinda like a turf scrubber actually, lol.
