Official Innovative Marine Owners Thread

From what I can dig up, it looks like the Nuvo 24 is being replaced by the Fusion 30L. Seems like they wanted to get away from the curved glass.

On another note, what material do they use for the black divider in these tanks? Is it glass or acrylic?

What happens if you don't fill both the front and back at the same time? Will the divider start to bend?

The back is panel is acrylic and the dividers are glass. I always fill from the front and the over flow fills the the back. When I did a water test on the back, there were no issues. The fusions are very solid. Not like the old ones which I had

On my 40, it's the same. It's very solid,

I am running it. I am using GFO. Very easy to use and great for the tank. Make sure you mark with either a knife or tape, so you know when the reactor is open at the bottom. You will see it!

Curious. How high were your phosphates prior to gfo reactor?

Sorry for lack of updates. Fighting an algea bloom..trying to use up my cpe before installing the reactor...phosphates are an all time high. .10 and that's post water change. Just stuck Phosban in yesterday. Though my ro/di was failing, but that tested 0. It's lights out for a couple of days....

mine have always been low. I actually started running the reactor during cycling. The last time i measure it was .02 ppm or .01 not for sure.

Good luck with the algae, its always a pain. I also purigen and carbon in the caddy. So far so good with my tank.

You can drill a 1/4 inch hole or two in the acrylic half way down and it will help to keep the two sides at the same level. won't really affect anything filtration wise

I was actually considering lowering the water returns that way..I think they are just too high up in stock position. I'm sure the designers put them there for a reason..I just can't figure out why...its either that, or epoxying acrylic dividers in the sump to raise the level...

I just picked up an fusion 40.
so far I have
mp10wes
kessil a360we
coming along...

Awesome! Are you using the stock media baskets? What do you have running through them.
Have one of the IM custom baskets running floss, cpe, and purgen. Other side has a stock basket with floss, and just Phosban. I am planning on just using a hunk of egg crate to make a floss holder and just remove that one side as soon as my phosphate spike is under control.
