Official: Masterflex Calcium Reactor Setup Thread

I don't see why you can't but I also thinks the screw in had more strength invade pressure builds up.

Could you use these to switch from Ls tubing to 1/4" RO tubing?

You could this and a coupling. Seems easier than the other connectors that have been mentioned.

Sure, it would work fine. It's still a two piece connection though. The smooth side on that barb is a push to fit so it would still need to go into a john guest style push to fit connector. In the end it's basically the same.

That's weird... the links seem to be broken. I literally used them a week ago to order new tubing and parts.

Thanks, i just used them last week too. So it must have just been changed...

A simple John guest coupling would work fine

Could you change a 100 rpm pump to a 600 rpm by just swapping the gear? I have a pump that is loud that is 600 rpm and I found a cheap new 100 rpm pump to swap with if possible.

Brushed motors tend to be loud regardless of their RPM. If you find a 100 rpm pump that is the same (looks the same) as your 600 RPM pump, I am pretty sure you can swap the motor over to the 600 rpm one but unless the bearings are bad in your 600 rpm motor, the noise you are hearing is likely normal and or the result of the gears themselves. As such, swapping the motor over will likely not solve the noise issue.

It's a loud hum that is the noise at all RPM's. Would replacing brushes make any difference?

I asked a CP engineer about swapping between 100 and 600rpm. He said it was more than just gearing and couldn't be converted. I've never opened up a 100rpm model to compare gearsets however if you open up a 600rpm model it doesn't look like there would be enough room to physically fit a gear that would convert a 600rpm drive to a 100rpm drive.

I was inventorying and I have too many backups that I shouldn't!!
I just listed couple of brushless pumps on the selling forum.

programming question within the masterflex pump. I have the 7523-60 and I thought it can dispense 0.6ml/min-3400ml/min but I cannot get it below 30ml. What am I doing wrong?

All depends on the tubing you are using. Which tube do you use?
