Hi Jonathan,

You'll be welcome to come over to look at the tank(s) tomorrow (Monday) afternoon anytime after 3:30. I will have to go to the office for a few hours and will be back by 3:15. I'll even make you a strawberry shortcake - with freshly picked Bainbridge Islands berries. Pls. let me know by reply here.

I think 3:30 would be fine. I have to get Ari to the Dojo by 4:30 though so it would be a quick stop. Can you PM me with instructions again? Thanks!

Take Hwy 3 north past the Poulsbo main exit. Continue north towards Hood Canal bridge and turn left on Pioneer Hill Road. Drive about one mile east, then turn left on Rhododrendrun Road, then right on Kekamek Drive. We are at 1741. As you know, we are the middle house on your left, up a slight incline.

I can be home by 2:30 PM if you can make it by then, but must know tomorrow (Monday) morning by about 10:30 AM, as I will be leaving for the office then. I know - another long tought day for me.

See you.

Tage

I learn from the best! Well I had two of the PC lamps as suggested on RC by many, but it just wasn't enough light.

BTW, can you or anyone chime in on running the fuge lamp during the moon cycle? Right now I have it on 24/7 but I think that will be too much light. I could run it for 8 - 12 hours opposite the halides, but since some of the light ends up in the display, I thought matchig the moon cycle might be good too.

Quick Update:

I completed my float valve assembly for the collection bucket so now when it gets full, the air pump shuts off and an alarm sounds. I also installed a water sensor on the floor which activates the alarm.

No pictures yet as I am heading out to Neah Bay for a few days to catch some Sea Bass. I will also be picking up larger sumps in Sequim and the wood I need to finish the viewing side in Port Townsend. Nothing like spending some time at Edensaw!!

My wife is on Food Patrol. :D

SEA BASS, OH I could tell you some Fish stories! I love Fishing off the Clay Pits just north of the West Twin River.......You Know I Hate you Jon!

I think, I may not be the only one that thinks you should make sure you get some Pictures of your trip. may you have calm sea's and not a sand Shark with in miles  :D
If you have never been to Piller point, you got to Check it out. makes a great Postcard, the view from the beach.

Hi Jonathan,

Just for your info I sent this message in response to the club Saturday evite: "Jonathon Rowe and myself will most likely be driving down to the Indoor Reef for the 5:00 meeting.
Tage Blytmann"

I'll call you tomorrow afternoon.

Tage

could you guy pick up something from Mario for me. he has a fish I want. I need to get it soon and I will be at indoor Saturday.

Brad,

I would be glad to if possible. PM sent.

Just got back from Neah Bay. Spent most of the time at Duncan pulling out Sea Bass and lings. No salmon for us but some people did comei n from the reef with 20-30 lb. bright salmon. None really biting in the straight.

Unfortunately there are no pics as me camera apparently didn't charge and when I tried to use it, it was totally dead. Bummer! The fishing was some of the best I have seen in that area. The bass were boiling up after bait balls and leaping out of the water. Trolling didn't work but casting was a blast. I have a really good casting rod and could hit them from 200+ feet so wherever they came up I could get right on them. Can't say how many we brought in but my buddy has a solid filet & release program. In fact the fishing was so good I had to quite before my body craped out on me. It's tough work when you really hit good.

And the bad news: Just before I left I was in the process of moving the Rhomboid Fairy Wrasse from QT to display figuring that would make it easier on my wife at feeding time, when I realized that I wouldn't be there to observe in the morning and see how things went. So I decided to leave it in the QT, and it decided, after about 3 weeks in there, to jump out. So my wife came home and found a fish stick! Talk about screwed up...I am so bummed since I had a nice pair of them and they are hard to come by.

Anyway, the good news is I picked up larger sumps while I was gone, and all the fish in the display are really doing well. No signs of Ich now for quite a while. My hat is off to Marc (melev) for his keen insite into dealing with Ich.

I did not get the wood I wanted since Edensaw is currently out of sapele in 8/4 slabs. They have a tree coming in the first week of August so I will have to make the trip back. And while I was out my package from Savko came so I can finish my mod to the skimmer, and my package from Eco-Tech also arrived with the new gaskets and shafts. Plenty to do over the next few days! :D

welcome back... sorry about the fish. that always hurts.
you got back just in time to see if your tank will stay cool.
90 this weekend yuck. i used to like the warm, but sence spending time in Iraq, i am more of a 72 and high wind kind of guy.
going to be doing some deep water rainbow fishing all next week down in Mossy Rock wish me luck.

Good luck with the Rainbows...they are sweet. Even in the hottest spells my tank has never gone over 81F. It's a good design for that.

Update:

New sumps are up and running with no major setbacks. Now I have enough capacity that should the power go out, all water will be contained. (Or should a skimmer explode!) :D
