Well there was an Ag Hold on the corals at the airport last night so I didn't get to pick them up until this morning.

I did a 30 min. Flatworm Exit dip and a 7 min. Lugol's & Reef Dip.

Here are pics of some in the Flatworm dip:

Here's a pic of some of the crabs. I found at least one crab in each acropora colony and some had two:

Here's a pic of an invert hitch-hiker:

I also found a couple of other hitch-hikers. One is what appears to be a serpent star and the other is some sort of fish. And you know you have it bad when you see a tiny finned creature go down your drain, and you remove the sink drain loop to rescue the fish. Unfortunately it was exposed to varying water temps., salinity, and I could not acclimate it. I am assuming it will not make it. For now it is in the QT with the corals. Can't get a pic of either of them. The fish has sort of a mud skipper form to it. I hope it makes it!!

from the picture most all of those crabs look like the "good ones", but it is hard to tell from that picture... nice score of corals :) I'm jealous :(

I am really interested in getting an ID on the fish. I have never seen anything like it before. And the purple monstrosity is too busy tasting corals to bother with mere fish!

WOW! Jackpot. That is a nice score! And who knew you had such a nice QT set up for your corals! I'm envious!

Thanks guys. :)

Hop: What I like about this QT is that is is slowly filling with system water drawn off my fuge. Every so often I pull out a couple Qts of water and it refills with a float valve. So the corals can become acclimated to the tank conditions more easily. This helps because they will have to adjust to some seriously different lighting.

James: Yes I do! :D

KEEPERZ: Thanks for the link. I am really interested in seeing that.

Thanks Bax. I set up the QT to be topped off with either RO/DI for evaporation, or system water for acclimation. Makes the whole deal a lot easier mentally for me.

That's how I roll Marc. :D Sherman took his and we will frag them so that each one of us gets a piece of every coral. The fish ended up in a coral he took so it is now in his 75g. It was visible in my QT for a while but quickly wedged itself into an acropora colony. It must be some kind of symbiotic situation.

Can't find what I now think is a brittle star. It probably took refuge in the rock.

My luck would be that the symbiotic relationship is the fish thinks the coral is yummy:D

Not that it didn't cross my mind but you know that is bad karma for you right? :eek2:

that pict looks like a panda goby..

edit : according to the link that is what it is. I was told by an LFS owner that they are rather delicate critters, with a higher than normal mortality rate, even when everything is in the "green", much less as a hitchiker, left overnight at a shipping facility, so I would be surprised if it is what you have Johnathan, but anything is possible :)
