Well things appear to be back to "normal". :)

salinity: 1.025
alk: 3.31 meq/L
Ca: 430 ppm
Mg: 1475 ppm
phosphate: 0 ppm
nitrate: 0 ppm

well, you can't understand how embarrassed I am about the coraline and the quality of my pics but I just can't deal with the camera issue until I get my store straightened out.

The tank actually looks fairly good and my coral growth is very good. Just a few hundred aiptasia and who knows how many vermetids....

And I think we can all admit to being pic hoes right??

Can you believe how orange that orange cap is? I have had a couple other reefers comment that it is the most orange one they have ever seen.

Jonathen the Coral that is the sixth picture down. what is the name of it ? And wow i was looking at all the pics i took in sept when iwas over ther, i have to say that one has really grown!
looken good!

The orange one? That is an orange montipora capricornus (excuse any mispellings, please!). Yeah things have grown. The blue tort was the first SPS I put in the tank and it still is small but when I compare it to the tiny frag it went in as, it has really grown a lot. They are slow growers anyway.

Fun read though with all the floods etc. I have had. :)

To answer a previous question, I have the following corals:

SPS: 30
LPS: 10
Polyps: 6

Last time Sherman and I were putting in corals, we had a discussion about how I am running out of room. I want my colonies to get quite large and aquascaped with that in mind, so although it doesn't seem like a lot of corals, to space them properly it seems to be. I also have an area owned by the maroon clowns that I can rarely add a coral.

Orange thingy

Orange thingy

Yes the Orange one i will have to get that picutre and e-mail it to you. there is Substantial growth from this latest pic and the one i took almost 6 month ago.

Jonathan some day you need to get a Video of her, To show every one just how bossy she is. she has the Old lady down the street personality. you know the one that yells if you walk to close to her lawn, shrub, or tell her dog to shut up!

Don't speak about my wife that way!

yeah, she really gives me the eye, but I give it right back. I wonder what if anything goes through her mind when I am yelling and shaking my fist at her?

So when I came home today I found 3 of the Vortechs in alarm mode. Not sure why. I restarted two of them with no further problem but one will not restart and seperates immediately. I am going to post in the IceCap forum and see what's up.

I planted the two corals Ed gave to me today and they both look fine. I also found another acro eating crab in a colony that was having trouble coloring up. It's getting so I recognize the sysmptom, pull the colony out, and find one of my little friends. These colonies that have the crabs are all from a mariculture facility so I recommend when you get those, inspect them very carefully!
