Thanks Marc, but when I need help, I'll ask for it. This is Jonathan we're taking about here. :D

Lurkers joining the thread may be offended. We have to keep in mind there is a larger audience here, not just a few guys in a chat session.

Fair enough. They might be retarded too and take offense! :eek2:

KK... It's really not funny anymore. I have a friend that's retarded and it really offended me. Marc was trying to step up and be civil before I said anything, but obviously you just want to keep pushing it.

I don't really enjoy thinking of something that my friend can't control just to give you comic pleasure.

It wasn't PC at all and it's very offensive so just pipe down.

Hey Barry, if you look at that over-sized pic near the top right side of the magnet, you will see a bit of the scraper bar sticking out. It is specifically called the Alage Dozer Scraper Pad on their site. I thought you were just screwing with me.

Marc on the other hand, is totally serious. Maybe you can look back to quicksilver's and connect the dots.

quiksilver,

Not sure who or what KK is or means. My apologies if you're offended.

I've never been accused of being pc before and I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't start now. PC offends me.

I'm done.

And BTW, I am just as brain damaged as the next guy, so I get a pass right? I mean, 1/3 of my brain is gone. It's the executive function that is moslty impaired so I have trouble assessing proper social behavior. In virtually every group situation I invariably offend someone really bad. At the Novemebr PSAS meeting, one guy got so ticked off at me he left. It's an unfortunate problem but I am glad I have my RC brothers to back me up.

I saw that in the pic, but missed it in the site. Does it go between the inside and outside magnet? If not, how is it engaged?

As far as messing with you, I'll let you know. I wouldn't want you to miss anything! :D

it's attached to the pad and goes against the inside of the glass. Strange little triangular shaped piece that appears to be some kind of special blend of plastic. I haven't cut it open yet to see what's up, but it works really well. No other scraper I have ever seen is made this shape or out of this material.

Just glad you didn't loose your sense of humor.

wow jonathan I'm glad that you finally repair your tank. Now you can concentrate your time on to reefing instead of fixing.

Sorry I missed this Anthony. I was in the middle of getting bent.

I am enjoying the tank now that I can see into it and don't have the fear of putting any weight on the tank while I clean it. but as you know, there is always something going on. I can't believe how much time and money I spend just on stuff that is breaking, nevermind the consumables.

Yours is looking great too. I hope to get down to my old stomping grounds in LA La Land sometime this year, and I'll do a tank tour while I am there. One of my good buds lives in Huntington Beach so I will look you up.

Actually I did lose my sense of humor. After the brain injury and about a year of normal recovery learning how to read, write, do simple, math and walk in a straight line, I spent another year of intensive mental recovery. This included trying to develop a sense of humor. Still more than two years after the stroke, I could not fathom humor. Friends would try to joke with me, and my mind would try to respond to what they were saying in a "rational" and serious manner.

I spent months working on humor, body language etc. to the point I am at now where in most cases I can determine what the situation is fairly quickly. But, I still occasionally miss-fire causing a lot of grief.

you are welcome anytime Jonathan. I don't have sushi but I do own a chicago style pizza restaurant so I can offer you some free deep dish pizza before the tank tour.....:-)

 mmmmmmmmmmm....PIZZA! :D

Can't believe how many pizza joints there are thriving in the average city. I guess it's a food cost thing eh? ;)

how many passes does it take to removed the coraline and how about their scratch removal kits if you tried it? couldn't you post the pic any smaller, not everyone has a 30" LCD flat panel on their desktop :D

Hmmm coming from an Audio and Video guy....You must have a 60'' sony XBR plasma for your desktop and 7 channel Martin Logan surround sound speakers with 5000watt Velodyn digital subwoofer hook up to a Cary Audio 7x200 watt amp....

yeah, I just tagged that photo from their web site and it looks fine over there but came out huge on RC...and Bart, seriously, get a bigger screen! :D

the number of passes is entirely based on how young or thick the coraline is. I had spots that came off on the first pass, and others that took multiple passes. The thing is it works and I don't have to lay on my tank! :D :D

Because it is a job to get on top, I let the coraline get too old and thick, and then it becomes a nightmare. If a reef keeper uses this special scraper pad every few days, he will never have a coraline problem.

The scratch removal kit I have works well. It is tedious of course, but very nice to have. Weast turned me on to them in one of our discussions and his glass always looked like brand new. I knew he couldn't get by with zero scratches and he told me he uses the kit 2 - 3 times a year.

A lot of dough in pizza! :D

Marc & Evan: So tell me how my comment that got your panties in a wad is any more offensive than the "rap" you put on Episode 24? How about cutting me some slack???
