OK! Enough chat...Starting a 1000g+ Reef

Sorry about your clown problems. I just introduced a Pink Margined Fairy Wrasse in my tank and my female Tom. Clown now seams to tag team with my Cuban Hogback to make his life hell. The clown used to patrol a 1 cubic ft are with her mate in my tank. Now she is all over the tank to "be Ready". I have had her for over 2 years and she has not taken this attitude with any other fish introductions. I now see my $140 fish for about 10 sec ... That PMFW is one fast fish!!!!!! Fortunately I know where he hangs out so I make sure he gets food, and he is eating. .... These fish worse than kids in a play ground...

I find this same dynamic. My maroons will allow the tangs, foxface et al cruise right through the BTA but she has a thing for the wrasses and the saddleback clown. I think it may be a natural competative thing since the wrasses and clowns eat the same food, whereas in the wild the tangs and other "vegetarian" fish probably don't present a competative issue.

Yeah, it's only split once into 3 parts in the over two years I have had it, and they NEVER move. I guess that comes with very high light. One of the "babies" is basically in the front between the rock and the viewing pane, only getting reflective light and it hasn't ever moved.
They are also well tended by her Majesty, Ruler of the Universe.
