opportunity and have acgro flat worms, red bugs or monti eating nudis, would sell a frag knowing you have them just for a profit? I know its a question that people probably wouldnt want to be honestly but its a poll sort of so and its being asked for a reason.

A. You would not as you would feel bad that you spread the wealth.

B. Ponder it back and forth and might or might not.

C. Sell it and go buy more frags with the dough you just got.

If I get enough responces I might tell why.

If I knew I would tell the person and let them decide if they wanted to buy it or not.

No, that ****es me off that people do. Although some people may sell you something and not know it.

I would not sell it. If a friend wanted a specific frag, I would inform them of what I had, and if they agreed then it would not be an issue.

Never. With what I have into my system there is no way I could sell enough to break even so I won't try. Usually when I do sell frags it's because I have to trim some corals invading each others space and then I try to find someone starting out and sell them cheap. I dip my new purchases and examine with mag glass but I know that's not enough. Need to set up sps quarintine tank.

Nope, wouldn't have before ... but having gotten Monti nudis somewhere - I don't want to pass along this sort of aquarium experience:

I wouldnt do it. The thought of risking someones investment to make a quick buck is unacceptable. Its not worth it.

red bugs

red bugs

No I would not, but the people that would are not going to come clean here.

exactly.. I got redbugs from someone I bought frags from.. noone will admit they would do it but there are sources that would/have... just like a LFS would sell fish that have knowingly beenexposed to ick or some other pathogen... we have all seen a LFS that had icked up fish for sale.

I wouldent sell any infected cora. Thats not meaning that others wont. I seen a local here give red bugs to 3 or 4 dozen people around me, and luckaly at the time my tank was new and i wouldent risk acros in it.
The guy knew he had them and later he got aefw. I heard from a couple of people he had passed around the red bugs to everybody, and now i have a motto I dont care if it came from god himself its getting nuked with interceptor and iodine.
Then Q'ed. Red bugs are easy, Its the FW that are pains.
I went thru a zoa eating nudi infestation and wouldent wish that on anybody. After i rid the tank of them i promised i would treat every piece that came in.

i can speak first hand here, as i am breaking down my 360 gallon. my tank has flatworms...even after treating it twice, it still has flat worms. i have made all buyers aware of the situation and i have been setting up 5 gallons of water treated with FWE and dipping everything i sell for 20 mins as the buyer stands and watches. i have no idea how i got them, but i do now want to pass them on to others!

people who knowingly sell infected corals are just jackasses...although, ill bet all of us can go to our LFS and see flatworms, aptaisa, valonia, etc. infected corals and live rock. my LFS didnt even know red bugs existed until i pointed them out on a few colonies they were selling.

ok, i won't do it either. truth be told, i only wish my tank was able to grow corals period.
on the other hand, if i found out someone was doing this on purpose to make a buck and was risking my investment. well, lets say i'm old school, i'm not above physical violence. i've never been a fan of the average scum bag. how's that for an honest opinion?
iv'e been fortunate enough that so far everyone that i've dealt with as been great and in most cases i'd end up saying they've been great friends. thank you all, who have been nothing but nice and a blessing to the club and to my tank. you know who you are

on the other hand, I would and have excepted corals from someone knowing they have red bugs, and just give them a good strong interceptor bath.

This is good to keep in mind - as all of us didn't know what they were at one time.

Often people are unaware of the pests they are selling IMO.

With knowledge, comes intent.
