Yesterday I bought a clarkii and a sebae who were already hosting at the store, get them home and acclimated and the clarkii goes to my big toadstool while the sebae is right next to it but at lights out the clown found the sebae and hasnt gone back to the toady yet I have read stories of clowns hosting a feather duster, they def are a little whacky

Those are not natural hosts for ocellaris. Just give them time. I took mine over a year to find a BTA, now they never leave. Are they adults?

The nems may let the clown live in it if the clown decide to try. My black and white ocellaris took to my rbta immediately. but he use to be in a tank with another clown that lived in my Xenia, but never let him near. Often it's monkey see monkey do, have you tried the picture trick? Post a pic of a clown in a nem against the tank, or play a video loop on a laptop next to the tank. Also, try luring the clown into the nem with food. Careful though, clowns aren't always immune to the sting right away.

Please do not try to lure or force your clown into any anemone. The fish will decide when and if to associate itself, and there is a period of acclimation to get used to the nem. During this time, the clown must get used to the particular anemone and develop resistance to the stinging cells in the anemone.

Rushing or forcing this process can result in your clowns getting eaten. Leave them alone and let them decide for themselves.

When I got my false O. clown I quarantined him in a tank with PVC pipe as shelter. Since I put him in my DT he decided he likes to host the PVC pipe and he won't even look at my ritteri or anything else. He's been in there for about 4 months and he still only likes the PVC pipe
