so whats the oldest anemone yall have had? come on i wonna hear all the stories on this, what kind it was, where it came from, how bit it was when you got it...

Current "oldest" arrived late 90's. E. quad, BTA. It has moved around between locals quite a bit, divided, etc., so not really sure how to determine which is the original :D

I lost a H. crispa last year that was over 16 years old. It lived its whole life with me in a 40 gal tank with 4 - 30 watt fluorescent tubes over the tank. There is a pic in my gallery.

I have several different species (H. crispa, haddoni, bta)that are 5-7 years old.

I still have a 14 year old female H. crispa. I didn't realize you had lost yours, Phil. It was an incredible specimen--sorry to hear that. I honestly thought I had lost mine during my tank crash a while back. It turned out that she was one of the few things that actually lived.

Yeah, it was a tough one. My school shut off the air conditioning the last two weeks of summer. Since I usually go in in the mornings I didn't really notice, but the tank temp got pretty high. He hung on for about two months, but just failed to thrive after the summer heat wave.

ive had a purple based magnifica since mid 2004. it had been in someone elses tank for two years before that.

My oldest is a Heteractis magnifica that I've had 7 years in November. It split a couple of years ago and I still have both of them.
