Woow, I really like the pyramids. Do they nip at all?

Leonardo
Thanks, yep they are a pretty cool fish and not known to nip:)

Thanks Greg, I really have to check for their availability over here. The Idols are outstanding too btw, just like the corals ;)
Do you have any problems with coral warfare and how do you provide enough flow to the corals bases with all those packed colonies?

Great work Greg, your assortment always looks fantastic.

Your sand looks nice and coarse, I'm having trouble with my sugar sand blowing around if my powerheads aren't aimed properly. Did you get it in town?

Thanks Leonardo. I get some coral warfare but things are still fairly spread out so it's not too bad yet, not like the old tank. Regarding flow, that is always a concern however I must say that a bit of stn on the bases has worked in my favour several times. For example I have had a complete large branch RTN but because the skeleton in between that one and the other branches of the colony was dead the signal to RTN never made it through so I just lost the single branch. Hopefully I explained that so you know what I mean. That said, I plan to add another vortech or two sometime in the near future.

Thanks Jay. The sand I use is caribe aragonite and it is available at most places locally.
I find sugar sand is notorious for blowing away in the current and very messy if you have sand sifter gobies. Also for my high flow areas where even the course sand blows away I use an assortment of rubble. In my opinion it blends in pretty good and looks quite natural. The only problem with it is the darn orange spot gobies steal it for building their house of the week so I have to add more periodically.

Got these units hooked up tonight (thanks Keith) so dosing is now finally automated.:D

That group of pyramids is really stunning!
Thanks, I quite like them too.:D

Wierd thing......the moorish idols were getting along very well and always hanging out together but then over the past few days the male started attacking the female and finally killed her yesterday. What's the deal?

Took a gamble and added a juvenile emporer angel today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my clams & LPS. I have a majestic angel in the softy tank and it actually ate all my frogspawn.....I hope he got indigestion.

Wish you the best.... I got an juv Emperor once and he was fine until the moment he started to turn into adulthood (changing color period) and that's when he went crazy and consume my candy cane, frogspawn and Open brain over a period of a week !!
