Wow. I thought I was tipping the scales at 15 or thereabouts in my 110.

What wrasse do you have on hold?
I've seen them called a clown, solar or tricolor fairy wrasse.

Wow I like to see that after you clean the back.
TOTM with the back clean.
Thank you kindly & I will try to clean the back glass this weekend. Man, Charles Delbeek has an article in Coral magazine about dirty back glass being a pet peeve of his and now everyone's on my case. Maybe just a coincidence or my own guilty feelings but I agree 100% and I'll try to correct my evil lazy ways.
;)

Well, in your defense, or at least until the weekend, I promise I'm not looking at the back glass. And those who are, must be extraordinarily blessed with oodles of free time to start looking at other things once gotten bored with looking at the innards of the tank. And surely those people who have this free time, could surely be devoted towards maybe updating the reefkeeping.com site .. or something. I don't know. I'm just sayin'.

Sorry melev, I know I'm a smart aleck, and I'm just teasin'. Good luck with the site upgrades... the rest of us will continue to wait in mostly silent patience .... ;)

The staff knows that you are all waiting for the big upgrade. I hope it will make everyone happy.

I've been cleaning the back of my tank since I visited Naka's gorgeous reef a couple of years ago. It isn't fun, but it makes a huge difference to me. I bought a Mag Float with a razor blade attachement specifically to clean the back wall and my overflows, and do it about once a month. More often if I have that free time you speak of. ;)

Wow! :eek1:
I absolutely love your tank. I believe you have my dream tank. I have enjoyed this thread. After our den remodeling is complete I look forward to getting my own up and running. Your tank will definitely be positive inspiration for mine. :)

Thanks for looking & for the compliment. Best of luck with your project.:)

Outstanding tank Greg.
Love the life it as inside.

That tank seen live must be something to appreciate for hours.

Please, keep up the updates.

Regards,
André

Thanks Andre'. Thanks for looking, and yes it actually does take quite a while to view the contents. That is why I like having such a full reef, you can sit for an hour and likely not see everything it contains.;)

Well I started cleaning the back glass and for the most part it is an improvement, however it accentuates the powerheads so you really notice them where before they just sort of blended in with the mess. I also don't like that the overflow outline is viewable from the front. I hope to finish the scraping this weekend but doing it makes a big mess with chunks of algae flying around the tank settling on corals, etc. Anyway here is a sample of what I am talking about with the overflow. I didn't bother using a tripod so the picture is not the best.

Your tanks is looken great! Does your male Moorish Idol pick at your sps?
Thank you Brian and no he doesn't, at least not yet. He mostly eats pellets but when he does pick around it is generally on the underside of the rock so I think it is eating sponge.

Those top down shots are amazing. Stunning coral after stunning coral!

The tank needs a nice black background, that's all. :D

Thanks Marc, I like to see top down shots too. I personally am not a huge fan of the black backgrounds though. I think blue looks more natural although with my overflow outline being visable that pretty much tosses that out the window. I'll just have to live with it I guess. If I could have a "do-over" that's just one of several changes I would make.
