Great stuff Greg. The tank is starting mature quite nicely.
Thanks Mark.

This is turning out to be one of my favorite clams out of the 7 I have in the reef.

I have lost a few pieces this week.:( My alk hose from my dosing pump got plugged up and I didn't notice so the alk dropped pretty low and then I spiked it too quickly. To remedy this from happening again I will now be making the alk at 1/2 strength and then just dose twice the amount I have been. Man it's always something isn't it?

Ok I cleaned the back glass and yes I agree it looks much better than it did plastered in coraline algae.

Greg, that looks stunning! It's a shame we can't get you to share a lifesize picture we can move around our screen. :D

Goodwin9 = Looks like a lot of hard work paid off. I ilke it!
Thanks I'm glad you like it.:)

Thanks Marc I appreciate your kind words. I'm not sure how I would do that. I have too many limitations beginning with my camera and ending with my own lack of skill.

Laurier - Good job on the cleaning greg since i was there, looks amazing
Thanks I hope those frags do well for you.
Angler02 - WOW!!!!!
Thanks for looking.

I have been slowly getting closer to completion but have been doing things a little at a time. I still need to do much of the moldings and trim work, hang the doors to the fish room and the full height front skimmer access but I did get the top & side access panels installed yesterday. It's a long way from being done but this should give you an idea what it will look like when completed.

Looks nice Greg, did you do the woodwork? Maybe I should ask you to help out with mine. :)
Thanks Tony, yes I did it myself. I wanted it done right away since I didn't have the time or the equipment but after I got a quote by someone for $6500 I decided I'd just do it myself even though it would take me a few months as I can only find time to do a little at a time. I borrowed a chop saw from my brother inlaw and bought a nail gun & compressor. After all is said & done with materials etc it was closer to $2000. I have better uses for that $4500 I saved.
I would be happy to help you any way I can. Just promise not to look at my work too close.
:D

It looks fantastic Greg. You are definately TOTM in my eyes. I'm sure its just a matter of time before Marc asks you.

Greatly appreciated Bradley. That's an awesome compliment, thanks.

My original plan for the door on the fish room was to cut a large vent hole in it and install a louvered oak fresh air return over the hole but my wife found a solid oak door with full height louvers that will work perfect. Even the stain is a close match so I am pumped. This will save me a ton of work. We went and picked it up tonight and what a score! She found it on Kijiji for just $50. As I said it is solid oak so it's a great deal.

Greg's tank is definitely on the watch. I don't think Marc will be doing the asking though ;)

I still need to do the finishing touches with trim on the paneling around the door way area but I installed the fish room door the other night and I think it will fit the bill quite nicely with excellent ventilation. The louvers are pretty sweet.
