One other question about carpets

I have one more question about my haddoni. It is now in the sand and its foot is attatched to 2 different rocks and the sand. The mouth stays closed all the time. It is extremely sticky when I touch it but when I try feeding it (i.e. pe mysis) it touches the carpet and its tentacles contract and releases it. Also I see spectrum pellets coming out of its mouth when it is expelling waste. When they are still acclimating do they sometimes not eat?
(it has been in my tank for 7 days and there have been pH fluctuations until 3 days ago and it has been move- but now PH is stable at 8.3) And my water is perfect (knock on wood)

I have had other carpets in my older tank for 4 years (but then my tank broke) and they always started eating right away.

Thanks

The spectrum pellets are either anemone poop or zoanthellae. This is common when they're added to a new system. They need to trade whatever zoanthellae they had for one that works better with your lighting. I would try throwing some fish and some table shrimp in a blender and feeding pieces of that.

ZooShark1029,
The anemone may be extremly sticky that does not mean that it is fully acllimated. But you had said that the PH has been moveing around therefor the anemone will be trying to acclimate to the new water conditions. But with fluctuations in the water conditions I can see the problem.
