OneReef's 120g DreamReef

Yes, many corals being shipped to me. Expensive visit, ha. But I got to spend a couple of hours there learning about their systems and talking with Jacob (website guy) ond Lou, one of the head guys. They showed me around and were great in answering all my questions. I have some new things to try on my tank. I didn't have time to go to Sea in the City, only time for one, and WWC has been on my bucket list for years. I will post some pics when I get home. They may not have turned out well, there was HEAVY actinics going, and I didn't have my good camera to take RAW photos.

Lucky SOB, That sounds like an incredible store!Gla to hear it went well!Throw some pics up once your corals come in!

Did you get to see the Great White Tang?If so, how awesome was it?Did you pass out?

Rudolph, you might want to check out Fish and Other Ichthy Stuff in Oldsmar, just outside of Tempa. They are at 105 Fairfield St. 813-891-4291. I went there a few years back while diving in the area and they had some really neat stuff with reasonable prices.

WWC:

Here is a short video of just one of the display tanks at World Wide Corals in Orlando, FL. I think it was 500g. The actinics were wide open, so it messed up my video cameras ability to see it as my eyes did. The video looks much too blue and does not allow you to see the awesome bright and fluorescing colors, but you can get an idea of just a few of their display chalices and high end zoas. This was just one show tank, and nothing was for sale in it. They have dozens of other tanks with probably thousands of coral frags for sale.

I have been feeding my coral more heavily the last few days. Feeding OysterFeast, RotiFeast, and amino acids 2-3 times per day. My biopellets seem to be keeping up with the excess, as my Hanna phosphate meter is still reading .03. I'll continue to monitor it to see what I can get away with feeding wise.

Excellent! Thanks....I will track them down.

My WWC corals came in today. I got them into my tank after dipping, and they are doing well.

Got all the coral mounted on the rockwork tonight, and they all fit in nicely. I think I have decided to have an SPS/Chalice tank. I love both, as I have become fascinated with ultra chalices. I love my colored sticks too! Now if I can just be patient and let everything grow.

Talk about Mission Near Impossible lol

Those WWC Corals are unreal that you have Jay!I don't have a favorite of the bunch, because they are all my favorite!Especially the Space Ghost Chalice, it's a new kind of cool!

I haven't had the PAR meter for awhile, so I have been playing my light adjustments with my eyes, and watching the results from the corals to see if my changes are too much. I have been creeping my LED light intensity higher and higher over the last month, trying to maximize my SPS color and growth. Not counting my actinics which are heavy blue, which run earlier and and later than my high lighting, the main lighting is about 6 1/2 hours. I peak at about 80:75:75. White:blue:royal %'s.

Right now I am:
