Never needed a chiller in the summertime as ive used T5s and have a large sump in my basement that tends to keep things cool, I ve been wondering all summer why Ive been having heat problems, hovering around 83ish. Admittedly I tend to let my tank run on autopilot during the summer as the kids r home. I switched to LEDs over the winter so I figured if anything the tank would be cooler. Thought maybe my new dehumidifier in the basement was keeping the basement hotter and that was it. Well now that the summer is over, I just realized today that a 250W heater in my sump with its own electronic thermostat is broken and has been cranking heat into my system all summer!! LIPA loves me. Hope you get a chuckle from this! Should have gotten that controller I've been thinking about.
