opinions on phosban reactor?

my tank is 75g, mixed reef. this tank is perfect, all of my fish get along great, my corals are bursting but i am STILL fighting cyano!!!

tried phosban in a bag but it's not doing much, if anything. i'm ready to jump in and get a reactor. looking at this one...

are there better options? it would have to go in my sump, of course, in the chamber with the return pump.

I always thought the two little fishies 150 was great. Does what it needs to and its only 20-30$

i'm not finding anything for that price. the 150 i'm looking at (comes w/pump) is $85.99.

I use the same one you linked for GFO, works great. Think I'm even using the same pump to power it. The rubber elbows are my biggest complaint, but that's minor - they still work.

Nina - that is exactly the one I would suggest for your tank. I have used one for at least 10-15 years with little to no problems from it. I still use the original sponges - if careful when rinsing/cleaning they will hold up very well. It can be a bit finicky about the lid sealing well, but especially if you run it in sump (as I do) it will be perfect. I used to use a minijet 400 for it and even it had to be dialed back with the supplied ball valve. I made a DIY manifold when I set up my 120 and run it off that now to eliminate a pump..

That reactor has worked well for me for almost 4 years. It can be bought alone for ~$40 on sale. That package is a little expensive as it looks like they're charging about $45 for tubing and a pump. You only need a small 40 GPH pump or it can be T'ed off an existing pump in the sump.

The rubber elbows do look a little weak at first glance but they hold up just fine and are available cheap & easily if you ever need to replace them. Of course with an in sump installation leakage isn't a worry.

IM MiniMax was looking at it I hate getting into my sump since i built the stand a little short my huge sump makes it hassle pulling out a reactor thinking to get this one.
