ORA Bellina

I started adding Kent's Lugol's solution about 2 months ago. It's the only change in my tank since then and polyp extension and coloration....especially in purples and blues has improved markedly.

This Belina has been in my tank for around 3 months. Only a little growth but it colored up a bit. It is on the side of the tank, about 12" under 3 54W T5 and 24 Cress LEDs. I don't have par meter and have no idea what the intensity is. But I can tell you it is bright. It is also in a high flow area close to the MP40 in Reefcrest mode.

I had my Bellina for about 3 months before it started losing its tissue... Only frag that did that during the time. What a sweet looking coral though!

Here's Mine. Just picked it up last weekend. If it holds these colors, it can grow as slow as it wants to.....

I have great luck with mine. It's 15" directly under a 150w 20k bulb receiving tons of turbulent flow and it has hints of blue purple and cream color and I also fragged a teeny branch for a friend.
heres a pic for reference

Brian - What are the 2 corals in the top left of this picture? The one on the top is purple and blue and just beneath it is one that is purple and green. They look very nice!!

I hate all you guys. I've wanted one of these for quite some time and saw some in the store yesterday but passed because it was $90. Don't make me go back to that store and buy one. I'm a sucker for all purplish corals.

I just picked one of these up also...pretty nice size frag. I think the store had it for a while. I'll try to get some photos up when it's ready :) Hopefully my flame angel wont eat all of it's polyps..

My flame angel does not let my Bellina to have PE in the day time. However, at night, it has good PE.:bounce3:

Thanks. The top one is the ORA Verde. It has neon green polyps on the top. I am unsure of the one below it. A friend gave it to me as a small frag that looked solid purple with blue polyps and called it an Austera. It has grown super fast and I am sure it isn't an Austera now. It looks very yellow and has a slight orange-ish color where the yellow turn purple at the tips. It also has a yellow ring on the tip. I saw my bellina and it really is a nice acro. I wish It grew faster

I paid about $20 for mine, and as far as growth, compare this to my earlier photo......

Less than 3 months ago.....
