ORA Brown Planet

Thanks! I'm just adding seachem reef complete calcium and Kent super buffer dkh right now. I don't have a sump or ato set up yet, but when I finally do I plan to start using kalk.

I also target feed all my corals, but can't really tell you if my sps eat it or not.

Thanks for the replies! It's about a day short of one more week so I'll go ahead and post a pic I took today. Still growing, and still getting more red!

nanonubey, my lighting is a Coralife 2 bulb T5 and a Deep Blue Solarmax 2 bulb T5 for a total of 4x54wT5. Bulbs are back to front; Blue+, Coralife Actinic, a Coralife daylight bulb of some sort, and another Blue+. Plan to change the middle two bulbs out for a Fiji Purple and Aquablue Special sometime soon. The fixtures are sitting right on top of the tank, and the Red Planet is roughly 8-9 inches from the bulbs. I run the lights about 12 hours a day. Most of the pictures are taken with the daylight bulb turned of though.

Recap, new pic at bottom: (some color variation due my my inconsistency of editing and different light combos, but this isn't exactly a scientific study lol, later shots were taken under various combos of Blue+ and actinic bulbs, can probably post regular lighting pic if anyone wants one)

And here is a month by month, will try to do a pic on the first of every month going forward. It's only been two months, seems a lot longer for some reason.

One week update pic! Taken under 2x Blue + and one actinic. May have to look closely to see the new growth, but there is some throughout the coral. Some color difference is from my inconsistent editing, but the color is pretty close to reality. I'm loosing saturation when I upload my pics to picasa, so I have been oversaturating to compensate for desaturation/color loss and it's hard to guess what it will look like once uploaded, maybe I should try a new image host... Anyways, it's gotten a little redder and pinker since last week.

Added a lot of flow to the tank overall this past week (bought a used koralia 3, you don't even wanna know what I was using for flow before! lol), and decided to try adding a little amino acids just to see what it does for my corals.

Another week, another pic! Seems like vertical growth hasn't been as fast lately as it once was. There is still some vertical growth going on, but seems to be mostly the corallites getting thicker, shaping up, and getting color lately. And the encrusting, of course, there's still encrusting going on.
