This coral, IMO, is one of ORA's best right now, even though it may not bet a true echinita it's still amazing. Awesome color, super fast growth and very tough; can't beat that!! Here are some shots of mine I took today as well as when I first got it.

Post yours if you have one!

Did u get it from ORA? If not, then no. Maybe the same species (I can't tell by the pic), but not the Hawkins.

Damn, its a sweet coral i have seen it in the LFS 5 times and walked away each time but that growth and the purple makes it a must have.

Canarygirl, can you see the photobucket site?
i cannot at home & all i see is red Xs
but at work it's working fine & i do not see that wierd redirect.

here's some more pic's of it. I bought it at a LFS that had just bought out ORA both at a show but I don't know if this one came from that both or not..

Nice, how are you guys cutting the ends of those hard frag plugs off i hate those ones.

let me know if you figure it out, the old plastic plugs could be cut and many times the frag would just pop out, now... what a PITA

I'm just going to dremel the tip off. Not the easiest way to go about things but it works.

try it, i did and the plug melted on my disk and then got all over the coral... and i was not even able to get it loose, i am just attaching the plugs to rocks.

I dont get why they have to use those plugs for anyways, i loved when i just ordered from yourreef and they sent me the frags and i could place them in the tank where i wanted or put them on my own frag plugs. Its like they dont want you taking them off, but i hate the big black plugs lol.

I used my dremmel with a disk and it went through it like butter.
Those plugs are a pit, but cutting them seemed easier with these new plugs over the old ones.
