Ok I have had them for a week now and they are doing very well. They are on the young side so it will be a while before I can start my breeding program. I will try and keep this page updated at least once a week to share all my experiences with this new selected breeding clownfish (That i think are great looking).
I will be adding a carpet anemone soon just looking for a S. Gigantea. The clowns are kept in my 120 Gallon cube with lots of live rock and the tank has been up and running for 5 years.
I am posting these pictures to show how they progress in color, size and spawning habits and will update weekly.
Please feel free to post your experiances and pictures here :) :spin1::strange::spin2::beer:

Looking good, hopefully you wont have an issue with the platinums. I have a pair of grade b's from doni, and they are by far my favorite clownfishs I have ever owned.

Beautiful fish, I will be looking forward to your updates.

I am watching Doni's site now for new postings, I can see a pair or two of her youngsters. The grade B works for me too .

very nice pair ..... How long have you had them? Ya no i have been looking at lots of pictures. I will say that mt fish have so much white on them then most picassos i have seen. Guess i got luck with this pair and cant wait for them to get there full colors.
I have been feeding them 12 times a day and they are getting bellies LOL

I would say I have had them for three months approximatly, I feed heavily also (4-5 times daily) and they host in the bubble anemones.

Yes at least 12 times a day...I take tank water place it in a small cup and place crushed flake food brineshrimp and cyclopez and mix it all up. Then i get pipet suck up the food and target feed them until they have no intrest in feeding. This has always worked well for me when conditioning a pair for future spawning.

Good lookin fish man! ORA sure does put out some magnificent Picasso's!

I am glad you mentioned you feed them 12x a day, non-clowonfish breeders look at me like I am nuts when I tell them my fish are fed 15-20x a day, and then of course it is hard explaining to someone why they need to be careful not to overfeed the tank lol.

LOL ... i was feeding 6X a day for awhile eventually building it up but never got to 12X .... i guess it all makes sense in teh grand scheme of things ...

Well made some changes to the picassos life style. I have a few yellow tail damsels that are starting to get touchy with the clowns like picking on them. These little yellow tails are dangerous as there was seven of them and now their is only three left. they have there own little space and anytime the clowns would cross the line baaaammmmm. so for the clowns own safety right now i have placed them inside a small breeder like container. What I did was drill holes in the sides for circulation of it and tied off the lid to the top of the tank so it would not move around. I then placed some sand from the tank on the bottom and paced a small piece of live rock for shelter. Now i can really fatten them up with out worrying about the dame damsels eating all the food and scaring my clowns away. I think i will keep them in this isolated tank until i feel they are able to control the damsels. Here are some new pictures and sorry for the poor quality but i am not a photographer. the black is starting to come in on the back fins and around the white markings.
