ORA Purple Pillow Ebay auction

Does anyone know when or if ORA will have these for sale again? I've been wanting a frag of this forever. I think I might have to try and pick this one up.

I never understood why they call it a purple pillow when the color is more of a green....I have a piece in my tank, it really is an awesome coral.

It looks like a Turaki to me. They are pretty common. Real slow growers.

In my experience anything that is thin branched is a pretty fast grower, for acropora anyway. And I think the purple pillow is a A. Caroliniana.

I was lucky enough to make an order with ORA before the hurricane season in 2004 and get several frags of the PP. It has been in production at out store every since. Slower grower, but once it gets growing it is beautiful!!!

The pillow is awesome - mine gets quite blue on the top and grows pretty quick.

Jswir i was going to say the same thing. I love mine, Now i only have a one inch piece it does not look like a turaki yet.
Ot was close to half that 5 weeks ago. Definately faster than my hoeks.

i've had a few sps veterans stop by and they all tend to think my coveted Northstarcorals.com multi-colored acro is the purple pillow. but i've had it since 10/2003 before it took the name of the purple pillow and looks like some kinda unknown deep water acro to them.

holds some insane colors under various types of lighting too.

Sounded like ORA should be shipping frags again in a month or two ... based on my limited rumor-watching. Think the hurricanes hit them hard ... but seems like they're planning starting to ship again.

About 2 inches, polyps are beautiful and yes its more green, slight hint of purple under my actinics, but I'm running all t5's

that looks like ORA's "Chips Acros" I bought it from them at imac a few years back and still have it.
