ORA Purple Pillow Ebay auction

Thats funny because those were the two guesses I had. They had one on live aquaria under divers den that looked almost exactly like it called rainbow latistella a week agobut it was sold to me as chips acro. Any way you could post a pic of yours? Sorry, not trying to get off thread. Thanks for the help, hard to identify when its this small

Well, if LA is selling it in their Diver's Den ... it's an ocean coral. They do sell ORA propagated stuff - the original source - but IME that section is for stuff from the ocean, could be a cousin of this coral ... but IMO thus the name would not apply, as the name applies to a specific genetic lineage [clones].

I have an original frag, 2 people got them in MI just before they went under from the hurricane.
So far i havent seen any pics other than jacksons here that look like one. Mine is all purple no green. (Lots of light)
Mine came from 2 that were sent to MI before the crash, one of the lfs workers that took one home and the other went home with the owner.
Its a dark purple in my tank, and gets lots of light. It is a VERY thin branched coral. It breaks when you look at it wrong.
Mine is not a fast grower at all. Very slow i have had it 6 mos and i have about 1/4 of an inch of growth in that time, But it had to encrust so it could start growing faster.
I just happened to see the 2 the lfs got in, and both had been marked nfs, and they had told me they were taking them home.
Well eventually i bugged the lfs worker enough he sold me a frag 6 mos ago.;)
I'll see if i can get a pic, But its in a spot thats not easily gotten to bt the camera.

tacocat, if its a smallish colony from either bigred or weathersoon i think i know where it came from :) under 10k's the thing turns a beautiful vibrant purple and teal!

fishgeeks-it looks like it. This is one of my favorite corals, of which I have a hundred or so favorites. :)

Actually your mistaken. If you looked at the date when this thread was started you would have found known this was for an auction a long time ago by rivervalleyreptiles not the one I just had a few days ago.
