Orange Polyp, Green based Acro ? Milli - Hitchhiker

Has anybody ever seen a green based orange polyped millipora or ???? I've had this tiny spec growing for the past year came in as a hitch hiker piece. I used to think it was a reverse sunset monti but as it's been growing it's become more and more obvious the polyps are located within raised tubular coralites vs recessed polyps which is the main visual difference between a monti and an acropora.

It is also happiest in low light at the bottom corner of my tank facing away from the bulb.

What are you thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback but This is a spongodes. You can see the polyps/corlites are flush or recessed not tublar and raised. I have a spongodes a few inches a way in person they are very different.

It's some forest fire / reverse sunset morph, for sure. Montis CAN grow polyps in raised corallites under some circumstances, but it's a monti nonetheless.

Same colony, captive growth a few months later:

eh, I donnu mine is in the progress of growing tublar coralites not growing out of them. I think you are getting to caught up in the colouration. I have forest fire in the tank, they are very different, and I have a lot of encrusting montis as well not a single one is growing raised tublar coratlies. It looks a lot closer to any of my milliporas when you only look at the areas that are encrusting then any of the montis in my tank. It's been growing for maybe a year now if not more.

The polyps dont look like milli but its structure does look like the base of a milli. Im leaning towards monti

i'm going to have to do a blind coke test. I think I'll charge up my camera and take pictures of encrusting parts of acros and montis and upload b&w photos to see who can guess what.

if you look at the new polyps in the encrusting area of this mill you will see they are very similar

While i'm not 100% sure what it is, (hence the post) I'm pretty sure I know what it isn't.

forest danae (note the polyps between the bumps not coming out of them like coralites)

again you can see the polyps/coralites recede into the skeleton
