Time to get back in?

Roger,

Will the Osmolator 3155 Universal fit into the Calcium Automat 1674/3 housing? 1674 will be in the tank itself.

It appears to fit into some of the filters etc, but I don't see it mentione specifically with the 1674/3.

Thanks in advance.

Scott

I think you have something confused? The 1674/3 is essentially a calcium reactor and is not an associated component of the 3155 which is an auto top off system. Perhaps you mean the 5074 Calcium Dispenser?

Forgot to add that the 1674/3 is also only for use with other System components in a Tunze filter kit and if you were looking for a stand alone Calcium Reactor the 3174/3 is the best for this application and is slightly more powerful as it holds more media. Please ask me some more questions or explain to me what you are looking to do.

Confused always ;)

I have an undrilled tank that has a hidden side panel DAS style 60 gal. I was looking to hang the skimmer, calcium reactor, and the auto top off in this area. Top off water, and the CO2 tank, etc., will be below the stand.

Make sense or should I just go with the Comline versions?

Scott

Comline! It is designed for exactly these set ups. I would personally recommend the new Reef Pack 500. It is suitable for a 125 or less and is essentially an all in one berlin method. You get a 3130/2 Skimmer, Mechanical Filter 3166, 1600/2 Turbelle, Osmolator 3155, 7gal Reservoir, 5pack of replacement cartridges which are rinse and reuse. Price is $500 so essentially you just are paying the skimmer and Osmolator price. To this you can add the 3174/3 Calcium Reactor later. The Reefpack 500 is new and probably still unlisted but I have 5 in stock.

Roger,

Thanks for the speedy replies :)

I'll be sending you a PM.

Thanks again,

Scott

Roger,

R'cvd the Reef Pack 500 and all the other goodies to max out the kit :)

It should be a fun weekend.

Thanks.

It looks like you got a good deal there!
I have personally seen Comline 3130 skimmer that performed one of Roger's 120g tanks in the past.
It performed very well pullng out much undesirable stuff.

And the price of Reefpak is very competitive as the price of the skimmer and osmolator will be close to $500.

It certainly is the way to go for a compact system. To the Reef Pack 500 I added the calcium reactor, calcium doser, CO2 Controller, Regulator and 5lb bottle (my 20lb was too big to fit under the stand). The whole package fits in <15" of inside tank space without drilling, etc.

Perfect for my application. I'll post some pics and review after I get it all set and calibrated ;)

Good to hear! I want pics and let me know if you need help. I actually will be setting up a new reef tank soon identical to what you have except on a 75 Oceanic. I am also going to try out T-5 lamps running on an Ice Cap 660 in a DIY hood.

My girlfriend thought reef tanks were noisy and too difficult- she has one and it is a 46 bow front with an AquaClear, a prism and a couple of Maxi Jets and PC lights. Of course she nearly fainted when I told her how much my proposed new tank was going to cost but when I pointed out how badly everything she had performed, how loud it was, how much the bulbs cost and the pile of already retired junk she owned, the cost of doing it right once made more sense:D

Hmmm, funny how I used a similar noise, clutter, and value argument on mine as well ;)

My system does divide my kitchen and my family room though so it is in your face :p

Roger,

I need another Reef Pack 500 and 5074. This package is just too good not to convert over my last free standing system.

Thanks for creating the bundle.

Scott

Can do- they are in stock! Glad you like it. I am very pleased with the one I am running as well.
