OT: 2015 Dodgers Rule Thread

Donnie is still a work in progress. I can't see any replacement I'd rather have though, tbh.

Ethier sitting is due to his inability to hit lefties, but also to keep him fresh and healthy, and I like it....seems to be working. Heisy won't make playoff roster, no chance.

These last few weeks have been tough becuase we're trying to rest guys...my concern is simple, the bullpen.

Even if we're resting offense, that doesn't mean we can give up 10 runs. I'm very nervous about the post season, but have no doubt we win one in SF and likely with Greinke or Kershaw!

I think we will clinch tonight, sweet FU to the team from NoCal. Greinke is a beast and is unaffected by things going on around him ( different story for what goes on in his head, though.) And total agreement with Rik, Uncle Donnie gets the boot unless we win the dance. Anything else is unacceptable.

Ask Ethier if he's fresh and healthy and wants to sit? Dodgers sign Heisey, he unproductive to the point of shipping him to AAA, then release him and then pick him up again and now play him over a .300 guy who has a higher average against lefties then the dude replacing him in lineup who you say won't be on playoff roster anyway? Really? You REST your starters AFTER you clinch which they would've done days ago had Mattingly played the guys who got them there. You don't risk taking your best hitters out of the lineup and messing with a rhythm and mojo. Goes for Crawford too. He should be in left and Mr. K should be nothing more then a late inning defensive replacement and move Ruggiano there since Kike is hurt.

Only pass he gets from me is the bullpen but only to the point that he was given this misfit bunch, but even with these guys he relies solely on match ups, righties v righties and vice versa, pulling guys before the opposing team has announced their batter! He just assumes who the other team is sending up and gets outmanaged. He's a great ball player but a disaster as a leader. The best choice for mgr would've been bringing Maddon but that's water under the bridge but Wallach would be a better choice at this point. I don't mean fire him now but going forward. It was so odd to bring Roenicke back in the middle of a season kicking Bundy off the 3rd base box that I think it was a message to Donnie. Roenickes has done a good job there, better then Bundy. After a week the Dodgers started running more and moving men around, at least to 3rd.

Go Dodgers. Hope you're right tonight on your prediction

I didn't get to watch the game last night (ACDC Concert @ DS), but I was tracking on my phone. Tonight is going to be a lot tougher.

Hopefully we get the same results as last year... Kershaw vs Bumgardner... Kershaw smacks a Homer and Bum in mad... too bad puig isn't out there to **** him off... Goo dodgers!!!

As for Mattingly, we've invested a lot of time into him. I just don't see us walking from him, only to have to put training wheels on someone else.

Also, He has nothing to do with Heisy, that came from GM. I think Mattingly gets these bullpen matchups, shifts, and some of his roster stuff from up top. SOME.

If Mattingly is fired, I'm wrong, and he made all these mistakes on his own, but I hightly doubt it.

I think it's a bit of both but who do you think will take the fall Jorden. I agree that this analytics driven front office gas quite a bit of input. But, he sux as a manager. I don't think the front office is telling him to bench Ethier against lefties. I have lots of things I can mention but couldn't we all. I don't think he put together a good lineup last night. He played Turner who's hurting when he could've started as eager and benched Rollins who low average or not needs to be out there. He started Sr. K again when he had Kike ready to go. He ended up making the changes late but why?

He was not the front offices man when they took over and the owner liked him so he stayed. He only is under contract for one more year so he's expendable.
