OT: any MTB riders out there?

Just got back from Shinagan near Ithaca. I've been riding for almost 20 yrs and I can't believe I've never been there before. Some of the best riding I've done in NYS!!! So Nice!

Yea, I ride a lot, both road and mtn. I actually run www.cycle-cny.com... there is a small group on there from the Ithaca area who ride and maintain Shinny.

Top notch work. The trails were naturally diverse, but extremely well manicured. I have done some swimming, I ride road and mountain, but I don't care if it's an angry woman, or the police, or what ever, I DON'T RUN. Tried to get into it so many times, just not for me.

Perhaps we'll hook up for a ride sometime. Went with Tim from ABC Reefs and avid MTB rider as well.

I've been away from it for a few years but I am starting to get back into it now. Just doing some of the local trails to get myself back in shape.

Theirs a really nice ride in Victor. Its called the Dryer Rd park. I want to give it a shot soon.

yes, I do run/maintain the site, but I also do run a bit, basically only enough to get me through a couple of sprint triathlons each year.

More power to ya! I thought about doing tri-sprints for a while, but realized I'd just be doing it to say I did it. I hate running enough not to do them. I've done a few MTB races, but that was "back in the day". Just a weekend (some weekdays) warrior.

I've gotta take some time and really comb that site. Looks like lots of great info! Thanks for the link.
