OT, any solar installers here?

I'm looking to put a second floor on my house. So I'd need my current PV panels removed and put on my new roof. I got a quote from the company who did the original installation and it just seems crazy. Can anyone give me an estimate?

I'd like to have my whole reef tank run on solar . How many and what size panels would I need to supply 40 amps? Just wondering

Not sure, I have a 600+ gallon system. Come mid winter I've used up any credits earned in the summer and I have to start paying again. I have 37 sunpower 230 panels.

Wow that requires a lot of roof . Guess it was a pipe dream.

If you have the right roof for it, there are programs out there that will put panels on your roof for no money down and sell the electricity to you cheaper than pseg. its a win for everyone, you get lower electric bill, solar company makes a profit, and the earth gets less carbon in the atmosphere.

I would love to do this on both my houses but my brain hurts when trying to figure out which of the 20 different plans out is not trying to rip me off.
