OT: Buying a car

I've been looking for a very specific 07 Nissan Murano. Looked for 2 months locally and car max online who will transfer almost any car in their inventory nationally. Started checking online sites; autotrader, vehix, etc within 150 miles. Weeks went by ~ gotta be the right options with low miles and at the right price (under book!). I ended up changing searches to nationwide or unlimited miles away. I found exactly what I was looking for within 2 days, in NM, at a dealership. Checked out BBB (they were a member) and searched for bad feedback online and they passed. Went to TVA CU, got the loan (last Wed) Fedex'd the check Thrs for Friday arrival. They sent me paperwork which I signed and sent back Mon for Tues arrival. Autohauler I hired online Friday picked up Tues and delivered today (Thrs). Transport was door-door for $875 insured to give you an idea of how much it costs. Murano is just as expected and I paid $3-5K less, incl transport, than I would have locally.

Just wanted to share the experience incase anyone is in the market for a car.

Gratz... I know how it is to wait for the vehicle you always wanted!

I waited over 4 years for the Toyota Tacoma I wanted with the options I needed/wanted. Boy oh boy do I love my Taco!

Once again great job on the car, need pics though :P

I am looking for a diesel now, one for my wife. Not sure I have the patience for 2 months. Know I do not have the patience for 4 years. Looking at a 94, 95, or 96 Mercedes. Not stuck on the Mercedes though. Was going to try for a Passat, but not available and those that are available are to much $$$$$. If you here of a Mercedes or other diesel, LMK.

thanks

Eddie
